Recently stayed in Como Cottage for a couple of nights and enjoyed every minute. Como Cottage is absolutely charming and the service provided by Melinda & Brett was fantastic. Olinda & Mt Dandenong are beautiful places to stay & visit & provide a sense that you're in the middle of nowhere without the hassle of actually being in the middle... More

Thank you so much for the excellent review you took the time to give us. We will look into the heater noise. No one has ever said anything about that before so could need some attention. We are due to start the open fires, so please do come back and have one so you may not need the gas one! More

We stayed in the 'Mills Cottage' for three nights over the Australia Day weekend and we loved the cozy, rustic feel the cottage has. Lots of space to cuddle. The location is great for trips all around the Dandenong Ranges. Only slight downside is the traffic on the Tourist road nearby. Other than that - complete must see.

We recently stayed in the Mills Cottage, for just one night, on a little escape from Melbourne. It is absolutely gorgeous, with vintage decorating in a unique style. The owners were lovely and helpful with any questions we had, the location was convenient (close by everything) and the setting was so peaceful. There was a bit of noise from the... More

Brett puts a lot of thought into making the cottages that little bit different to other accommodations. There is plenty for your eyes to feast on and we are glad you made the most of our humble , romantic cottage. More

We stayed here over the New Year break and had a wonderful time. Excellent facilities, we stayed in the Lavender Cottage, which had a beautiful peaceful interior, extensive selection of DVD's, lovely stereo system, our kids were continuously amused. Brett and Melinda really thought of everything, lovely garden out the front so the children could play. Location was also fantastic... More

We stayed in the Mills Cottage at Como Cottages and it was simply beautiful, rustic, and full of character. The attention to detail in renovating and decorating this cottage is a credit to the owners, Brett and Melinda and we will definitely be back, hopefully sooner rather than latter. Excellent customer service from Brett from first phone call to book... More

Wow, thank you for your review. We love it when people love what we have here. It has always been a holiday destination right from the early days in 1912, so I'm sure the original owners would be proud too. Brett has made it has life's work to provide a comfortable and romantic piece of history and something different and... More

I absolutely love staying at Como Cottages. I have stayed at Cotswald Cottage, the largest of the bunch, two times. The first time was a quiet getaway with my partner while the second time was a friends weekend with three couples. The owners clearly care about their investment and in making sure that your visit is beautiful. The home itself... More

Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location, however extremely pricy for what you are receiving in return, worth it once but wouldn't pay the money again. P.S. to the owners, at these prices I don't expect to have to wash my own dishes or incur a fee.

We had a wedding in the area and the cottage we booked was for one night only. A lot of other B&Bs want at least 2 nights. We stayed in the Caretakers cottage and was perfect as we only needed a bed and shower. Small room which was nice and neat, coffee, tea and bread and spreads provided for breakfast.... More

Our second stay at one of the cottages, and will absolutely go back again. Recently stayed at The Mills Cottage, and did not want to leave! All Cottages have been beautifully restored with eclectic and vintage charm which bring comfort that no stiff and bleach- cleaned hotel could bring. Loved everything about our stay, including the books! Thank you Brett... More

We stayed here in December 2013 and were pretty disappointing. The cottages were very small, not very clean, and were very close to a main road (= not very relaxing). They were quite expensive and we were expecting something a lot nicer for what we paid.

That is odd as everybody says how CLEAN our cottages are. In fact we had a couple stay last week who said they tried a few places but they weren't clean enough but ours was perfect! Yes we are close to the road but only 2 of the cottages and at keast we are walking distance to the villages and... More
