Wow! What a piece of heaven in the Dandenongs! We stayed in the Como cottage for our wedding anniversary last week and it was absolutely perfect. The ambiance was so lovely and it was so clean and tidy, you can certainly see the effort the lovely owners have put into making a stay at these cottages a truly beautiful experience.... More

This was our fourth stay at Como cottages. This time Mills Cottage with a wonderful feeling and sense of history. Beautiful garden, soaring gums, song of birds, clean crisp air and a sky that goes forever. This place is truly healing. Thank you again Brett and Melinda for your dedication to making our stay perfect again! We will be back.

I would NEVER recommend Como Cottages to ANYONE! Not that we stayed there - we didn't get the chance. I would never recommend this because of the treatment we received before we were even due to arrive. 5 days before I planned to take my pregnant partner here for a 'celebratory' getaway, my partner had a miscarriage due to an... I stayed with a friend and we booked the Lavender Cottage. This cottage is really close to the Olinda shops which made it easy to wander for a coffee during the day and dinner at night. The Cottage itself was a bit dated...it is two storeys and the bedroom upstairs had a small balcony with doors leading out to it... More

Hi and thank you for your review. It is our policy to discuss the make up of the cottages with our guests (when they phone in for bookings) and if someone is elderly or has a concern with stairs, we have a 4 other cottages that don't have stairs which would be suitable for them. It is one of the... More

We stayed one night at Como Cottages in the Forget-me-not cottage. A gorgeous place. Light and airy yet warm and cosy. The bed was VERY comfortable. As we stayed only one night we didn't get a chance to use the open fire, but will do so next time. There was a vast selection of goodies for breakfast. Great tub in... More

We stayed in the largest of the cottages - Cotswald Cottage - for 4 nights. It is a lovely, quirky cottage which was very comfortable and full of character. The location was fantastic, being right in the centre of the village. Breakfast provisions were generous. I found it a bit cold in some of the rooms, but the heater in... More

Dear Melinda, Thank you so much for your hospitality and allowing us to stay in the Lavender Cottage last minute. We had a fantastic time. Its a real gem, cathedral ceilings in the bedroom, spa was great, quality products supplied, we loved the provisions for breakfast and enjoyed the Bacon and Eggs + variety of teas, yoghurt, juice and coffee.... Cute cosy cottage, very clean and everything ready on arrival. Quite expensive for what you actually get - some maintenance required. Had to be careful that the shelves did not fall off walls, coffee table top not attached to table etc not sure about the glass bathroom door. Didn't really like the list of house rules for guests including the... More

My partner and I stayed for 1 night at Como Cottages and immediately wished we'd booked for longer! The 'Caretakers Cottage' was absolutely charming, with the most gorgeous views from the bed out into the garden. Upon arriving we were met with a warm, friendly reception by the owner, who was kind enough to drop what he was doing and... More

Hi and thank you for writing in. We do have a wash the dishes policy (or at least scrape and rinse) as there are a few people out there who think it's ok to leave food (sometimes overnight) on plates and in pots. We do ask our housekeepers to check the dishes to make sure they are cleaned right. Brett... More

My partner and I stayed in Mills Cottage (one bedroom cottage), one of several cottages on the acreage. Brett our host met us within minutes and checked us in with no fuss at a last minute stay. It was like stepping back into a different era with amazing attention to detail and a host of different old rustic objects hidden... More

Brett takes pride in his gardens and has just spent the past few weeks building a new home for the chicks the girls got for Christmas. This has meant that he has been there to chat with guests and he's been loving it! There is nothing better to him than to show people around and share a story. This week,... More
