It was horrific - Where to start, the drive into the property - it looks like a converted railway station, and not in a good way. My jaw dropped when I saw where we would be staying (would not have stayed had my other half not booked as a birthday suprise) We entered thro a scruffy under cover carport, with... More

My husband and I had a staff function to attend in the Dandenongs so rather than drive back home late at night we would spend the night. We chose this place as it was close to our function. Even though the accommodation was beautiful there were faults and issues. One we were attached to the house the owners lived in,... More

Stayed in the Sandstone apartment. Ofelia made us feel so welcome. It has all the little extras in the pantry and only a five minute walk to the pub and restaurants. The craftsmanship of the wood carvings are really remarkable and so much room for families. The large spa bath was great. Lovely breakfast in the morning.

Very disappointed with this one. Used Qantas points to book this ( lots of them) and it was really dated and tired. Clean but not pleasant. Bathroom in dire need of updating. Everything dowdy and faded. Not in the least romantic. Breakfast was inedible. Bacon couldn't even be cut with a knife. And it was cold and tasteless. Overall very... More

We stayed at in the Penthouse 5/7/2014. We booked in for what we thought would be a romantic getaway in a quality B&B in the hills. What a disappointment... From the moment we checked in, we were in shock..old and dated, cheap fittings, dark and hardly a romantic B&B. There was one sofa..sorry bed settee with sagging springs and cushions,... More

I found this place using google maps (being I'm from the US) and I don't regret my decision one bit, from check in to check out this place is a page right out of history that I will stay at again and again!! Ophelia and Ross are the most amazing hosts. You really feel as though you're part of their... More

Stayed in the Sandstone suite and was impressed with the unique design touches and friendly owners. The hotel is well located near Olinda and provides a peaceful and quaint setting for exploring the area. The room was very clean and the beds, including the sofa bed, we're comfortable. We were impressed with the hand carved furniture which accented the room... More

We stayed in the Sandstone, and had stayed six years ago as well. The furnishings and entire feel of the cottage is very relaxing and in keeping with the theme. An excellent indulgence away from the hustle and bustle and well worth it for a "time out."

Ross and Ophelia our hosts went out of their way to give personal service. Ross gave us the grand tour, explaining in as much detail as we wanted about his building expertise, problems faced in the construction and the skills and history he could call on to create this masterpiece. Look for Escalibur. Indulge in the spa. Lay back and... More

We stayed in the Sandstone suite which is very spacious. We have a small baby and had plenty of room for his porta-cot and play mat. There's a double sofa bed as well as the main bed but with everything including a spa there is heaps of room. The main bed is a lovely hand carved wooden bed which was... More
