We recently spent two nights here over Easter with our 6 month old bub. It is situated just out of the main shops of Milawa, gourmet food all a quick drive away. It really is a beautiful area and so peaceful. The rooms have the bed and lounge in one area. This mostly worked for us with putting bub to... More

Despite the fact is was several months ago that we stayed here, I have not forgotten what an amazing time we had. We booked two very well appointed rooms: one regular room and the other the disabled room for my adult son who is an a wheelchair. The rooms are very well designed with separate sleeping and eating/relaxing spaces. Storage... More

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at this retreat, the owners were awesome, very friendly and helpful Peter and Denise are just the best hosts, breakfast every morning on time, the views were just amazing, sitting out on the veranda with a nice glass of wine overlooking the vineyards, what more could you want. The rooms were spacious... More

cant rate this place highly enough. It is perfectly located in Milawa. A comfortable 2km walk or cycle to Brown Brothers winery. Lovely hosts Denise and Peter can't do enough for you. Peter is a chef and the breakfasts and dinners were first class. We borrowed the four bicycles and explored Milawa. Willbe the pig provided entertainment! Will most certainly... More

On arrival we were greeted by wonderful hosts Peter and Denise. The rural setting of Muscat Retreat is just delightful. Our rooms were well furnished. After a great night sleep in the king sized bed we were treated to one of the best breakfasts I have had. We chose to sit on the verandah overlooking the wineries and mountains, eating... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Denise and Peter are wonderful hosts and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with separate sitting area and a deck at the rear. Milawa was a good base to explore nearby wineries in the King Valley and an easy cycle to the wineries around Milawa and Oxley. The cooked breakfasts are... More

Five nights at Milawa Muscat Retreat was sheer bliss! Quiet (double brick walls between each of the 5 rooms). Comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Peaceful. Close to Wangarratta and the Milawa/Bright/Mt Buffalo tourist region. Relax on the deck with your favourite tipple and gaze at the mountains in the distance and perhaps be entertained as the chickens forage in the garden, being... More

We chose this location as my partner was a cyclist racing the Sam Miranda event just down the road in Oxley. It was also his birthday so I wanted a nice relaxing night away for him between races. On arrival was surprised at the spaciousness of the unit! It was subtly and tastefully decorated. We also were excited to try... More

Only stayed overnight here to catch up with friends but the short stay was enjoyable. The unit itself was very spacious, the bed very comfortable, very large ensuite, large flat screen tv, sofa plus small dining table. A cooked breakfast was in the price but was only average, nothing to be excited about. Because there isn't a lot in the... More
