We were staying at the motel over the road and chose to eat dinner at the hotel each night. We chose something different each night and were not disappointed with the variety or quality. Wednesday night is steak night and with a little trepidation, we decided on the "special", a succulent rump steak with beautiful salad and crunchy chips -... More

I can't recommend the Marlo Hotel highly enough. I hosted a Christmas in June dinner there for 29 Motorcycle Riders from Canberra and Melbourne. Russel and Rachel. could not have made us more welcome, as did all their staff. They even put on a band for us because I was initially expecting a bigger party. The food came from the... More

Came across this great little pub over the weekend after visiting my students at the Snowy River Leadership Camp. Fantastic room with open Fire place (ask for the Conran Room). Very comfortable bed with excellent amenities. Very friendly staff from Jack who checked us in,his father at the bar and all of the hotel staff. A delicious meal at the... More

I decided to check out the meals at the pub for my last night in beautiful Marlo. The parmi with salad was very good. There have been some poor reviews concerning the meals at this pub so thought I would try it myself to see if that was the case. I could not fault the meal that was presented. It... More

Popped into the marlo hotel on the way through and had a ripper Parma and pot or 20 whilst the darl had a well cooked steak! Food was fast to come out and the gravy was good to. Has a great view a good deck to sit on and the staff was as friendly as Casper. Cheers

Had Mother's Day luncheon at Marlo Hotel yesterday. Our meal was Delicious!! They had a great menu to select from. The chef did an outstanding job with all the meals. The Hotel is a great place for any function and you also get supberb views of the Snowy River and Ocean.

Lovely room with gorgeous linen and soft towels. Nice staff. Restaurant was expensive and the food was less than average. If you cannot make it - why serve it? The chicken mango dish was awful and the side of 'vegetables' were unrecognisable as such and consisted of four potatoes... And some soggy carrots. It is a shame that the Marlo... More

We where here for lunch. The menu is basic, we found the food to be of poor quality when you are paying top dollar. Neither of us finished our meals. They did not have any fresh seafood offered. My advise is find somewhere else to eat. The view from the deck is nice.

The place was jam packed and the queue just to order dinner was around 30 mins long. When the food eventually came, it was pretty disappointing. Soggy battered fish and limp chips with a token salad. My wife's flounder wasn't much better. I'd recommend somewhere else, but unfortunately there isn't anywhere else!

So sorry to hear that your dining experience was less than pleasant for you and your wife. Unfortunately during peak times (summer holidays) our queue can be quiet long. If ever you are passing through Marlo again, please introduce yourself to management as we would like to offer you our hospitality and hopefully a much more pleasant dining experience. Alternately... We stayed here just one night on a motorbike trip. The location is stunning, at the mouth of the Snowy River. The rooms are old pub rooms which have been done up to add a touch of luxury. Very spacious with a lovely deck to take in the view. The pub is a destination in itself and perfect on a... More
