I had the pleasure of staying at this grand residence for 3 nights, the hostess/owner Yvonne, who also runs the antique and craft shop on the ground floor, was very gracious and upgraded me to the 2 bedroom apartment. All I can say is Wow. Huge rooms, beautifully furnished, very comfortable king size bed, fully fitted kitchen, spotlessly clean and... More

Mollison's is Heaven on a stick. Three return trips in less than three years fully attest to its allure for us: from welcoming owners Yvonne and Deb, to stylistically divine interiors and gardens manicured to within a centimetre of perfection, Mollison's truly is a treat for the senses. In fact it is all pure class. From first greeting by co-owner... More

After deciding to spend New Years Day at the Country Races at Hanging Rock this year we then needed accommodation to suit a group of 10 people. After looking at a few rental houses we were attracted to the position of Mollisons as its right in the center of town. The group quickly grew to 12, then 14 and before... More

We had a 2 night stay recently at Mollison's and were immediately impressed by the country charm and look and feel of our one bedroom apartment. Mollison's is well-located and we found the bed and pillows soft and comfortable. Little touches like complimentary meringues were lovely, however we were surprised by the limited products in the bathroom - a shower... More

A brief stay in Kyneton to attend a wedding, we booked Mollison's sight unseen, always a bit of a worry. The immediate impression, even just walking up the stairs was class! We were in room 6, overlooking the street. The room breathed tranquility with its all white decor. A comfortable bed, good quality linen and huge bathroom all contributed to... More

My colleague and I have a queen room each with a shared verandah surrounded by a beautiful garden and large shady trees. The hostess has been exceedingly generous in accommodating us. Shop at entrance a delight. Dinner at Mr Carsisi was fabulous. Will be back for weekend soon. Highly recommend.

We have just returned to Melbourne after our 4th stay at Mollisons and we will be staying again. It is wonderful to jump in the car after work on a Friday and to be relaxing at Mollisons in just over an hour. In the summer we sit on the deck and enjoy a drink before dinner, in winter the rooms... More

Our 2 night stay at Mollisons in Kyneton was perfect in every way. We went for a romantic weekend to celebrate a special anniversary. The room was beautiful with stunning décor and fabulously comfortable bed (great for a sleep in!). It was warm and cosy, spotlessly clean with everything we needed including complimentary sherry and gorgeous little meringues. The room... More

I admit that we were late to book and we were pleased to have found a room at Mollisons that, judging by all accounts, was a great place to stay. The reality (for us) was different. Room 6 - a King bedroom at the front of the building, was impressively clean. The bathroom was splendid - far more so than... More

Penny, how surprising you were disappointed with one of our most requested and light filled rooms. As your booking was made through the Mr & Mrs Smith Hotels Group perhaps is was not explained to you that the room is at the front of the building. Our staff are available on-site from 10am to 5pm every day to respond to... More

If you're travelling to Kyneton, Mollisons is the place to stay, we arranged it over the phone and was really impressed with the level of detail and the way Yvonne helped us out with directions, suggestions for brekky/lunch/dinner, she was terrific. The King room we had was fantastic, really clean, funky yet charming and very warming, the lovely Deb had... More
