This was our surprise honeymoon location which took our breathe away, the rooms are luxurious, the views are stunning and the staff treated us with such warmth and respect. I cannot recommend or praise this hotel enough, we were sad to learn that it's closing and wish everyone the very best for the future xxx

Our first time to Yarra valley and we decided to stay here-Mt Rael for 2 nights. The room/Zar is just lovely, bathroom with big window facing valley side, simple but delicious breakfast~ Sadly was winter and too cold to sit outside at balcony, wish to go again on coming Summer before they ended their business on 11/12/13 ~

I booked Mt Rael as a stress relief weekend for my husband and I. The pictures and details on the internet looked absolutely fabulous, spas, views to die for, what more could you want. Which they are, I mean the views are really spectacular, after you drive up the incredibly narrow and poorly maintained drive, so bad is the drive... More

We had travelled from Brisbane to see some family members and they decided to take us to Mt Rael for lunch. The menu was a little different but we decided to stay and were taken to our seats. The service and ambience was first class and we had a great day out, they did run out of our preferred beer... More

Fabulous views, friendly service, good food - a great break from our busy city life! It was our first trip to the Valley and now we know what the fuss is all about! We had a lovely stay here - waking up to a foggy valley and watching it lift as the sun rose was a treat. The friendly relaxed... More

Sunday Lunch. Disappointing all round except for the view. The quail was over cooked, the lamb too fatty to the point of being inedible, soggy profiteroles. The chefs “style” is to over complicate everything so the flavours become confused and unattractive. All in all it had the whiff of caterers food about it-reheat and on the plate- not what you... My husband and I went here on a long weekend, when there was a special set menu. However the pricing was incredibly missleading. Printed in bold it stated $40 for two courses and $50 for 3 courses - now that all sounds fine and reasonable - until we received the bill and there was a surcharge of $10 ea for... More

We stayed at Tane stadio, it was quite specious and with all facilities. Perfect for couple to stay. Near to Coles and has a great Resturant . Good view with private balcony. It has oven and all other kitchen stuff except BBQ.

I took my sister from New Zealand and mother to Mt Rael to celebrate Mums 80th birthday. It was perfect, serene and quiet enough for mum to enjoy the ambience and take in the spectacular view.We were looked after very well and the lunch was perfect for our celebrations. Delicious meal.

We booked last ,minute and only for one night which is very difficult to do in this area. The room was just ok. Everything was clean, furniture was modern but missing was any type of view apart from the tree tops as the windows are high and small. I believe the spa rooms have the views but the other two...
