Rooms are huge with king beds. The hotel is in the center of tiny Healesville, the main eating/sleeping area of the Yarra Valley. Crispin, the general manager of the hotel and restaurant, is extraordinarily friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The entire staff made us feel like part of the family. Food in the Quince dining room was excellent, and there is... More

We spend 2 nights at the Healesvile Hotel apartment/rental house at the rear of the hotel. There are 3 options, either a studio, a one bedroom house or a combination of the both being a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Even though the studio is really nicely done with a new fit-out, king bed and courtyard, it was a little... More

Tried the Healesville Hotel for lunch in their restaurant, must say very impressed, great food and atmosphere, prompt and courteous service and a great variety of local food and beverages to choose from, would definitely come again. Nice light alternative next door at their Harvest cafe, nice treats :)

Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar is nice with local produce, wine and beer. Hotel rooms, while clean, are old and dated. My room and the corridor smelt of cooking aromas for the 2 night stay. I suspect this was the slow cooked lamb shoulder on the menu from the kitchen below. Be prepared for a shared... More

We have been coming here for 3 years now and the food and staff are 6 stars. We eat out 3 days a week which includes fine dining (if you can call it that) and when considering your budget vs expectations. .. you have a clear expectation champion in Healesville Hotel. From the beautiful relaxed atmosphere...food amazing....wine and beer list... More

Such a lovely room. Tall ceilings. Separate bathroom facilities to share with other guests - though still very private. Hand made soaps. Coffee and tea making facilities available in room. A very comfortable sleep without interruption by activities in the hotel downstairs.

Visited Healesville with friends and stayed at the Healesville Hotel overnight. Very pleasant staff make sure you feel welcome. Rooms are comfortable. The dining room / restaurant is relaxing with a balanced menu suitable for everyone's tastes. We shared a few entrees for starters including the charcuterie platter which had great flavour and enjoyable. The hotel feels as you would... More

I like old style country pubs. I don't mind the shared bathroom at the end of the corridor. I even like the creaking wooden floors. In these regards, the Healesville Hotel didn't surprise. The bed was comfortable and the heating in the room worked well. There was a noticeable lack of drawers or cupboards - just a few hooks to... More

Dined here with a group including children. The steaks were over cooked and dry. The pork belly was nice. Kids ate their meals except the salad which was lettuce and dressing only. Overall experience was ok, but wouldn't rush back..

Start with the positives.. Lovely setting and meal itself was pleasant.. It ends there for us!! The whole place was ridiculously over heated courtesy of an open fire place and several wall heaters running simultaneously..the kids had to go and splash their faces with water to cool down..Super slow service as the staff were serving both bar/bistro customers and dining... Thank you for taking the time to review our Dining Room, and for your lovely comments regarding our setting. We are taking all feedback very seriously and we have already made some changes to our menu with the intention of continuing to improve and evolve going forward.
