I like old style country pubs. I don't mind the shared bathroom at the end of the corridor. I even like the creaking wooden floors. In these regards, the Healesville Hotel didn't surprise. The bed was comfortable and the heating in the room worked well. There was a noticeable lack of drawers or cupboards - just a few hooks to... More

Dined here with a group including children. The steaks were over cooked and dry. The pork belly was nice. Kids ate their meals except the salad which was lettuce and dressing only. Overall experience was ok, but wouldn't rush back..

Start with the positives.. Lovely setting and meal itself was pleasant.. It ends there for us!! The whole place was ridiculously over heated courtesy of an open fire place and several wall heaters running simultaneously..the kids had to go and splash their faces with water to cool down..Super slow service as the staff were serving both bar/bistro customers and dining... I spent a night here last month and it was actually a little better than I expected. When I booked I knew it was a shared bathroom and didn't really know how that would work but it was the only accommodation available for the night I needed. Turned out to be fine. The room was a great size, high ceiling,... More

We arrived for dinner at Quince restaurant more than a little frazzled and bewildered after the Healesville Tourist Park cancelled our booking for no plausible reason, leaving us 'homeless' for the following two evenings.. and worse, no-one there who cared or wanted to help. Upon arrival at the restaurant we were made exceptionally welcome, and after a short 'venting' of... More

A nice afternoon with drinks and nibbles at the Healesville Hotel, having catch up chats with my friends who are ex Perthites , now living locally . very nice crowd of travellers and locals having sundowners and assorted bites in the lounge bar , so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the surroundings with out the crush of... Our family were due to camp near healed like on a very wet weekend. The weather got so poor that we went to the Healesville Hotel at 9pm dripping wet with a 1 year old , were we greeted with sour faces, no. We were greeted with smiling accommodating staff who did everything they could think of to make our... More

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights recently, we were so happy with our choice! The hotel is beautifully maintained, the rooms and bathrooms are so pretty and well appointed. All the staff were so friendly! We enjoyed a 3 course meal at 'Quince', the downstairs restaurant on our first night- the food was wonderful, so was the service!... More

We stayed for two nights at the Healesville hotel and loved it. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was gorgeous and the bed and armchair were super comfy. The bathroom was also lovely, and just a short stroll down the corridor. We had an amazing 3 course... More

My husband and I had a couple of nights in the Yarra Valley for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is centrally located to Healesville and the local attractions including wineries. Our room was clean and spacious, and the shared bathrooms at the end of the corridor were also clean and spacious. The Quince Restaurant was absolutely fabulous, the food was... More
