We tried to go to the hotel but it was closed for renovation Noticed a special pasta night in harvest in conjunction with yarra valley pasta Our meals where superb White Rabbit ragou and clam spaghetti a highlight It was the first night of this event and although service friendly but shakey at first ended up a great night Thanks... We recently visited this hotel due to the great reviews for it's food. We were not disappointed, magnificent food and great service, staff was knowledgeable and not stuffy. The room we stayed in was of good size clean and tidy with the bed very comfortable. Only downside was the noise from the band and people milling around outside. If you... More

We dined here Sat 16th August all the staff were very helpful and our irish waitress was first rate. We had the Quince dining which everyone at the table enjoyed with the exception of quite underdone and chewy pork chops. The sommelier recommended a superb chardonnay that didn't break the bank.

I had a delicious steak , perfectly cooked. vegetables were also cooked perfectly .I will happily go back. The young man who served me made me feel very welcome. The outdoor eating area was a lovely setting to sit and read the paper. Very enjoyable.

Yes we had a disaster in our hands on this beautiful saturday we decide to go to lunch to the Healesville hotel we have been here a few times and while we notice the quality has gone down little by little in each of our visits we decide it to give it one more try but unfortunately the restaurant was... Hi Tony - let me please assure you that your comments are noted. A little hard to follow exactly but we'll work through it. I will however assure you that the pork belly certainly has not been recycled for a week. Happy to discuss in person Tony if you would like to call me I'm more than happy to discuss... More

We thought we would just try our luck with accommodation when we arrived in Healesville and we got lucky at the Healesville Hotel. If you are happy to share a bathroom you will love the big cosy rooms with old pub charm. Beautifully presented with plunger coffee and comfy bed. We stayed on a Monday night and it was quiet.... A gastro pub with decent lodgings. There's something innately cosy about padding up a carpeted staircase to your room in a glorious old pub after a drop of yarra valley sparkling in the bar below. Fresh flowers and oil burners in the shared bathrooms reveal the owners' penchant for romantic country styling-no doubt expressed more fully in the hotel's sister... More

We dined on a weeknight and found the food very ordinary, nothing like we expected. Just standard pub grub, dry chicken, over-done Haloumi, and an entree arriving with the main. May be great on a weekend but don't bother during the week.

It is disappointing to hear of your negative experience at the hotel. Our kitchen does work hard to consistently deliver a high volume of high quality food on all our menus, we focus on free range& locally sourced produce on all our menus but in your case we obviously fell well below standard. We receive plenty of positive feedback on... More

Took a spontaneous grand final weekend trip to Healesville and decided to spend the night here. Lovely room for a country hotel (just as long as you're not the sort of person that needs an ensuite). I did need to use the earplugs because there were some rowdy folks about town following the grand final, but I was just really... More

We are very pleased you enjoyed your recent stay at the hotel. The rooms upstairs are classic in style, we love the pressed metal ceilings, they certainly speak of a bygone era … it is perfect to be able to have dinner and then just wander upstairs to bed! More

Four of us dined in the 'pub' section of the hotel last night. Despite ordering meals at the same time and the lovely waitress giving us cutlery aeparately and stating clearly that both couples were on the same table, two meals came out only after the other couple had completely finished. (20 minutes difference. ) When we voiced our displeasure... More

Following on to this feedback I have spoken with Geoff at length about his experience and worked through the issues. Our manager Camm has also been addressed and as owners we are very disappointed that he was not able to bring Geoff’s complaints to a positive end on the night. We have worked long and hard over the last twelve... More
