I arrived yesterday everything looked said; it was raining. But today the sun shines, what a difference it's beautiful here. Cabin is well aquipped you can light a fire (woodburner) there is bbq equipment outside there is a swimmingpool lots of kangaroos hopping around, free use laundry machines. If you prepare your own meals buy them not in town -... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in a Sudio Cottage and really enjoyed our stay. The owners were super friendly with a great sense of humour. The cottage was clean and equipped with a fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, A/C/heat and TV. WiFi was available outside or inside reception. Kangaroos and deer were wandering through the open area in... More

We stayed in both a 2 bdrm cottage and then a couples cottage once our party decreased. The 2 bdrm cottage was good value and comfortable, even if a little 'tired' in side. The couples cottage had a lighter feel and was more modern feel. The bonus for us was the lovely open grounds and the wildlife at our doorstep...kangaroos,... More

Lovely stay with my family during September. Kangaroos with joeys in their pouches right outside cabin window - big hit with the kids. Tennis court, playground. Mountain views. Cabins clean and functional. Great choice for families with young children.

There is a lot of wildlife on the property, kangaroos, deers, etc. There is kangaroo dung everywhere so wipe your feet - alot. The location is very rustic. The accommodations were average. The sheets were clean, but the towels were limited. The laundry room was free, in good condition and convenient for us. There was quite a terse note about... More

D'Altons was such a great place to stay. My Father was visiting from England and he was enthralled by the wildlife, birds etc. We had a 2 bedroom cabin and the accommodation is quite basic but totally adequate for our needs. There are great hikes nearby, restaurants etc- I would definitely stay at D'Altons again; a friend of mine who... More

The cabin in the adults only area was spacious and peaceful - we enjoyed sitting on the verandah, drinking tea, reading and watching the 'roos! The furniture looked like it was new and the bed was comfortable. A friend of the owners was looking after the place whilst they were away and she was very welcoming and helpful - we... More

We really enjoyed our stay at D'Altons, en-route from Melbourne to Adelaide. The cabins are simple, but adequate for one or two nights. The wildlife appear outside your door - kangaroos morning and evening. It is very near scenic drives and mountain tracks.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The chalet was clean and spacious and had basic kitchen equipment. The veranda had table and chairs, we sat watching the sunset over the mountain and kangaroos grazing on the lawn. The shops and amenities are within walking distance. A great place to relax.

We hadn't pre booked and therefore the surprise to find this little gem after a long drive from Portland on the coast cannot be underestimated. David made us very welcome and even allowed us to check out the spa cabin before we finally agreed to stay. We had cockatoos on our terrace and we had a hop by by the... More
