A very nice eco lodge, the perfect place to base yourself if you are here with a carload of friends. I was in a 4 bed room, which was 2 bunk beds, no TV, a place to hang clothes some lockers and a balcony. There's a communal TV room, a large communal kitchen and dining area. Plus a second lounge... I had a 4 bed room wich was clean, the bed was okay but not very comfortable. Nice kitchen for cooking and a nice living room for reading. There have been many wallabies around the hotel which was very cute. At night it was very quiet.

Another great Eco designed hostel and cheap for a YHA. Half of the hostel was closed off when we stayed which made sense as they were very quiet. The kitchen is spilt into two which leaves good cooking space and there is a herb garden and free eggs sometimes! Great welcome and brilliant selection of (chick flick) DVDs. Highly recommended.

Staying in Australian hostels for the past 4 months, this was a very big change from it all. What a beauty! SO spacious, so much lights, such good atmosphere, large common areas, fire places. Absolutely loved it. The guy (owner, manager?) behind reception even offered me to do free laundry because they were renewing the laundry room and it was... More

This was our second stay with the hostel under different management this time. Family room both times. Things seem to have improved since we were there last however we were sorry there were no chook eggs for our brekky this time, as promoted, as we purposefully didn't bring any. Understandable, given management has no control over laying and the kitchen... More

This eco-YHA can boast excellent shared facilities situated in stunning surrounds. We stayed in a cosy double room, which had glass doors making the room lovely and airy in the morning & evening. The kitchen was well-equipped, the lounge rooms welcoming, and the bathrooms clean. Overall, great budget accommodation in beautiful Halls Gap!

Hi, We had a decent stay at YHA, the staff were friendly, the facilities clean and they had a bunch of free DVD's which was great if you brought your laptop, to pass the time away in your room in the evenings. This however is not a hotel, so don't expect a separate personal bathroom, it has clean shared facilities,... More

This eco hostel is in a beautiful spot in Halls Gap where the kangaroos come right up to the back door and the chickens will join you for breakfast. Nestled amongst the trees, there is planty of space here with two huge lounges, fireplaces and a TV room. It is near to all the local attractions but also just a... More

When were entered the hostel, the reception was closed. It was indicated and we (me and my sister) decided to explore the area. At the reception were was information what to see and discover in the area. After visiting Mackenzie Falls (must do!) we came back and the reception was open. The staff was very helpful, social and gave us... More
