As we parked out the front of this establishment we thought it was a pretty nice location and looked quite charming in it's own way. As we searched around for signs of human life we stumbled upon a poorly labelled guest entrance. Pushing the doorbell didn't seem to do anything but tire my button-pushing finger. After my 3 rep finger... More

Just came back from a weekend in Halls Gap. Would have been a lovely trip if not for this place. First off when we arrived we were completely confused by how to even check-in! The restaurant entrance was easily seen but no sign or indication on where hotel guest were to check in and all the lights were off! Eventually... More

Imagine waking up in the Grampians, eating a cooked breakfast, sitting in a bay window, light shining through and listening to classical music or jazz. When I'm finished, I'm handed a picnic lunch. I pick up my book and head out for a casual stroll, knowing that when I return, dinner will be cooked for me. I don't have a worry... More

We stayed at the Mountain Grand last Thursday and Friday Nights. This is an older style guest house and that is exactly why we chose it. Our room was just fine, no TV but that was a good thing, there was a wonderful sitting room for guests with an open fire and a nice way to meet other guests, which... More

Our previous visit to the Mountain Grand was some many years ago long before ensuites and we loved it then. Now with the inclusion of ensuites it is just as we remembered only sympathetically updated. The ambience warm and friendly and meals great and the addition of live music on the Friday evening a real bonus. Beni and Nicole pleasant... More

The Mountain Grand is one of my all time favourite places to stay...It has a quiet elegance of appearance but a home feeling inside.... The bedrooms are clean and adequate to base yourself for those leisurely walks or hard core bush walking... Myself and my husband booked for three nights the package of bed, breakfast and dinner and were delighted... More

A quiet elegant setting in a little village. Top class service, meal and atmostphere. Steaks cooked just as we asked and the sides were delicious. Good choice of local wines. Great place to eat it you want a change from pub or cheap eats. Not expensive and they were very welcoming to families as well. We will eat there again... More

Tony was a friendly guest and told us that we were upgraded when we arrived! Therefore I am writing a comment on the deluxe room. The bed was really comfortable with electric blanket. The shower was really good (pressure, hot water). We had the lounge room for ourselves which was really nice but it could fit many people as there... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner. We booked the package deal which included breakfast and dinner on both days. On arrival my first thought was how cold the guest house was. Although there are heaters in the rooms, the hallways and even the restaurant was extremely cold. I had to wear my coat through dinner on both... More

It might seem expensive at first glance, but the fact that the stay includes a full continental breakfast and a three course dinner, it’s really good value for money. It’s a nice clean room with a fantastic shower. We picked this place because the meals were included, so after a long day outside exploring the Grampians, it saved us driving... More
