I have been to this hostel once a year for the past 5 years. We book the place out for a weekend and spend the weekend in and around the small town, including a game of golf and a trip to the local football. The hostel is really comfortable. It has excellent heating, which is great given we go in... More

A great hostel - only 3 rooms. Clean with fast wifi .... what more can you ask for ! Hostel is in closest town to Wilsons Promontory (The Prom), but this is still about 60 km from the main centre in the park. There isn't any public transport to the park. But this sounds like it is a general meeting... More

Originally, I planned to stay only one night - due to the weather I couldn't do my complete hike and so I stayed 3 nights. The hosts are very helpful and nice and try to help wherever possible. It doesn't feel like a hostel, more a home which are sharing more people. It was a really great stay and the... More

I loved this micro-hostel in Foster, the gateway to Wilson Promontory. It only has three bedrooms; a four bed dorm, a three bed dorm and a double. There is a lovely kitchen and TV room for guests. There is also free wi-fi, a computer to use for free and they let you use their washing machine for free. At $30... More

This YHA is a small jewel. It is located in Foster, a small town near of the Wilsons Prom Nat Park. It is a very small hostel (I think just 10 beds) in a beautiful small old house. Check-In works very easy and fast, the owners are very friendly and helpfull. Everything is very clean and there are no "party... More

My experience at this hostel was truly bizarre. I stayed here because it was the only cheap accommodation I could find near Wilson's Prom (campsites during the month of Jan are insanely difficult to get). When I arrived they told me that the hostel was full and that I would be staying in one of the two bedroom apartments next... More

this is probably the smallest hostel i've ever stayed in, with only three rooms. we stayed in a very comfortable double room, which was very clean - same as the kitchen and the bathrooms. the owners are very nice and can organise transport to the prom national park, i've you're travelling by bus.

It's a cottage turned into a backpackers, so the small size means it's very humble but cosy. Kudos to the hot water in the bathroom, as I visited in winter. The TV is good and the Internet on the PC reasonable. Didn't try to use the wifi as the hostel was so quiet I had the PC to myself. Kitchen... More

The Hostel for the evening was the Prom Coast Backpackers. I had reserved a single room (not ready for the multiple person room yet – that comes tomorrow in Phillip Island!), and I settled in to the very comfortable home to catch up on some work items. The backpacker has three rooms – mine with a single queen-sized bed, a... More

We arrived mid-afternoon and found no signs of life. Followed instructions and used phone on front veranda and this went to voicemail. Sat around a bit. Nothing. Managed to rustle up a friendly helpful neighbor who eventually contacted the owners and let us in. The YHA is rustic and as noted there were no locks on the twin room door... More
