A perfect little city escape to the beach/country. Flinders cove motel the service was impeccable on check in. It is close to the lookout and pier and across the road from the local hotel and shopping. The rooms are large and spacious and well kept.

I really regretted staying in Flinders and booking this hotel the moment I arrived at the hotel site. The exterior looks rundown, especially with the posh looking Flinders Hotel opposite. The room was old and dusty looking with broken furnitures. Even though there were plates, cups and cutleries in the cupboard, it didn't feel clean enough to be used. The... More

Booked this place very last minute for a weekend over the phone, having stayed here quite a few years ago. The manager was most helpful over the phone, and when we arrived was just as accommodating and even discounted our rate further as we paid cash. The motel itself is very basic. The last time we stayed here it was... More

Had a recent stay at the Flinders Cove Motor Inn, not the first time. I was in a group who were based in Flinders to enjoy some Mornington Peninsula golf courses. Our host Terry went out of his way to make sure our group was looked after and couldn't do enough for us. His efforts were certainly above and beyond!... More

Yes, the bare brick walls and other examples of 1980s decoration in this motel were discouraging, particularly given a room rate that was hardly cheap. But there were plenty of positives about the Flinders Cove as well. A huge positive is that the beds were excellent: wonderfully comfortable mattresses and quality bed linen. As well as this, the parking was... More

Stayed in Flinders for a wedding recently. The Flinders Cove Motor Inn was booked weeks before for $130 per night for 2 nights. When we arrived we were charged $160 per night. When mentioned the quoted price I was told this wasnt true. The host was not apologetic and made me feel like I was trying to manipulate her into... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Flinders Cove Motel and were absolutely delighted by the service we received. Having booked over the phone, Terry (the owner) was very helpful and took my booking without a deposit or my credit card details - he simply trusted that I would show up and pay on arrival. The town of Flinders is... More

We booked based on a recommendation from the Information Bureau but upon arrival (after speaking also with owners prior) were charged $60 more than quoted. Owner was rude over phone and in person and refused to accept any ownership over incorrect quote. Horrible service so we will not be back again.

We had limited choice of where to stay for a wedding in Flinders. This was the cheapest option but was still very pricey for a 1 night stay . It's a very dated old motel so I would expect to pay a lot less. The bathroom was a bit grubby and like a caravan park bathroom with a weird low... More

This is an unrenovated 1980's motel but in good condition and built like many local houses - low, flat roof (except for skylights), brick, with cedar windows and doors. Bed very comfortable with good quality cotton sheets. Very obliging hosts (thanks,Terry!) gave us choice of room and reduced rate for our 4 night stay in early January. We made breakfast... More
