We come back to Falls Creek every winter and stay at Karelia lodge, it's comfortable with a very European feel, good food and a really relaxed, cosy atmosphere plus it has a great location for hitting the slopes - love it!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge is jam packed with knick-knacs from around Europe. The outdoor spa was just what these sore muscles needed after a day (or sometimes half a day because I'm not young anymore!) on the slopes. We liked the set times for breakfast and dinner. Helped us to plan our day/evening. The afternoon tea... More

Hello Alice, Thank you for the lovely review. I am very happy to hear that you had a wonderful stay in Karelia. We have installed a new Canadian red cedarwood spa (outdoors in the snow) just a week prior the winter season so I am very happy to hear that you have enjoyed it. We do not advertised the FREE... I stayed at Karelia for a few nights. Jerry was very easy to communicate with for my booking and he was very lovely when I arrived for check in. The room was nice and warm. Well designed and well utilized space. Breakfast and dinner were included and food was just delicious. Jerry built the lodge by himself over 20 years... More

There is a lot to like about Karelia Lodge. It has a unique and quaint décor, the rooms are well appointed and warm, the food is good and plentiful, the hot spa is a delight, and the two drying rooms more than ample for all of the ski gear. However, facilities are only one of the ingredients for a successful... More

I fully understand that you were upset because I didn’t let you to exercise your control freak power in my ski lodge. Let’s start from the reservation date. In January you sent me email as follows: Hi there! We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (ages 14, 11 and 9, by next July). We are looking to... More

I stayed here by myself and would definitely come back either by myself, with families or friends. The proximity to the main ski lift is great, as well as easy access back from the Wombat's Ramble trail. The hosts were welcoming without being overbearing. They upgraded my room and let me have access on my last day so that I... More

We recently stayed here for about a week and were very pleased that we did! The highlight for us was the outdoor spa which we really needed after a big day on the slopes!
