We were on our way home from Pennsylvania and stopped at this Super 8 because we've had such good luck with them as a last-minute choice in the past. This is one of those times when we wished we had gone a bit further down the road. I was greeted by a man in a 'gimme cap' and tee shirt at the desk and was surprised to find what I thought was another road-weary guest was actually the desk clerk. It soon became apparent the other 'guests' in the lobby were actually staff. This isn't to say they were not friendly or helpful, but any claims of matching competitor prices and so forth were denied at my visit.

And if this hotel is new I'm very confused. While the beds were seemingly clean and comfortable the design choices are dated. The bathroom was awful. The walls have not been cleaned in some time (with some obvious 'stuff' on the walls that we didn't dare touch or try to clean ourselves) and the plastic reside/stain in the bottom of the tub compelled us to only use the... more
