Very clean and comfortable. Could not fault it. The train was heard a couple of times during the night but was not a problem. Spent a very pleasant night in Chiltern as the meal at the Telegraph Hotel was also excellent. This lovely little town is definitely worth a visit.

We were driving to Melbourne from Sydney and wanted a place to stay for the night. We had seen the Chiltern Colonial Motor Inn advertised, but were not to sure about it, so we decided to take a look when we arrived at Chiltern. I popped in to see if they had vacancies, and the price of the room. The... More

Although this motel is very old fashioned, it is very clean. Bed was reasonable. Bathroom could do with updating but clean all the same. Face washers and extras not provided, so take your own. I would suggest you take your own glasses as well, as I was charged $5.00 for admitting to breaking one. The point was to ensure they... More

I am sorry you felt you were over charged for a wine glass that you broke. We were not trying to be mean but unfortunately they do cost over $5.00 a glass which you can check if you ring any restaurant supply shop. You were given a Queen Bed room for $93.00 which is very reasonable considering it was the... More

We only spent one night in this hotel but were very happy with the value and cleanliness of the room; and friendliness of staff. The room was comfortable and all that we could have wanted for one night with basic amenities all provided including free wi fi. We would certainly consider staying here again.

If you are sensitive to chemicals do not stay in Room 14 until the fumes have dissipated. We booked in before 7 but didn’t use the room until about 8, after driving around town and dining at the pub. The smell in the room was acrid; I opened the door and windows and put on the air conditioning fan but... More

We are sad to read this review. At 6pm after checking room with me you were happy to book in. You spent the most part of the night in room with no problems even taking to guest next door about your birding photography. There was no mention of room smelling all night. At 9pm you came to office asking if... More

Lovely Motor Inn, situated in the charming village of Chiltern. The room was comfy and clean. crisp white linens. Very quiet and close to the village. The restaurant that was recommended was outstanding. Will stay again.

First stayed here in July and were so impressed we stopped over again on the next trip south. The first time we stayed in a queen room with a queen bed, the 2nd time in a twin room– queen bed + single. Both rooms were of similar size and reasonably spacious; the queen room had a couch in lieu of... More

Thank you for your nice review of our motel and town. It is always nice to hear from repeat travellers that your next stay was just as good. At the moment we are currently replacing all bathrooms in property so hopefully next stay will even be better. More

Have just discovered an excellent place to rest the weary head on my north - south travels. The proprietors, Wayne and Jane where very gracious and efficient. My room was exceptionally clean, crisp white linens, delicious breakfast delivered on time with smile and the room amenities were all in tip-top working order. Everything about this little motel met my expectations:... More

Great value accommodation. Room was clean, comfortable and overall a reasonable size. A microwave was an added bonus. Heating/cooling was very efficient. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Only a 5 to 10 min walk to the town centre. Similar distance to a picturesque lake setting. A rail line was close but I didn't notice any train noise. Good TV. An... More
