We stayed overnight for my wife's birthday. Excellent location, accommodation and breakfast, and very pleasant staff. We were going to Doyle's Restaurant next door for dinner and were suitably dressed up. It was unfortunate that the front of the hotel adjacent to the foyer had several tables for bar patrons and many clients standing up. It was difficult and irritating... More

Thursday last week 26 Feb my wife and I had the misfortune to take two overseas USA visitors (old friends for 40 years) to the beer garden bistro i.e. outdoor dining for casual lunch. First the good news - the food was ok albeit over priced (always debatable) however the filth of the tables and wooden bench seats was nothing... More

This rating is for the bar and food. No idea what the hotel is like Positive first - great view IF you can get a table. Nice clubby atmosphere and full of teen schoolies crowd catching up. Negatives - Anything over 20 and your not part of this scene. Food simple awful. REALLY skimpy overpriced portions. Don't have the tuna... More

Positives first. The outdoor terraces/food/service very good and efficient. Views over the harbour outstanding. Very busy at weekends and very much a place for the 'beautiful people' of Sydney. Great place to people watch. Negatives. Hotel overpriced, buffet breakfast poor, rooms needs an update, housekeeping poor. Rooms at the side may overlook the emptying of rubbish & sewage. Have stayed... More

I am writing about the restaurant on the beach at Watson's Bay - not the accommodation. It is of course in a setting that is probably the best in Sydney - suggest you take a ferry from Circular Quay (wharf 4) they are very regular. Get there early for lunch to obtain a good seat - it is not table... More

We were recommended to go here rather than next door for lunch on our trip out to Camp Cove & we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you require waiter service this is not for you, one orders all drinks & meals at the bar where you are given a small detonation device to alert you to the readiness of your... More

I booked 6 rooms for a corporate event. The booking was not a smooth process and a corporate rate was not available. There was not a designated team member to speak to and every call was a different person with me providing the same information over and over again. There was no room discount for such a large (and expensive) booking.... We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find the location to be perfect for our short stay. We had the king room with Harbour view (absolutely stunning view of the harbour) , though the noise from the beer garden did take away that Ahhh moment... So if you're a light sleeper be aware of this. Aside from that this... More
