We had 10 people stay here for the weekend for business. Definitely won't stay there again. Very noisy from cars on Pacific highway making it impossible to sleep. Pillows were thin and not conducive to sleep. Service in the restaurant was an all time low, poor and slow without any acknowledgement. It took me an hour to get poached eggs... More

Dear sultanas1, I am so terribly sorry that you experienced this in our Café. I assure you that the service that you received is not typical. After reading the Duty Management log from that particular morning we identified a number of issues that had occurred that hadn't been managed appropriately. The primary issue being our hot plate failing in the... More

Stayed here for a business meeting. Very welcoming staff. My only complaint was the road noise which I'm not used to. Wearing ear plugs helped. I assume rooms on the other side would be quieter. Buzzing café on site.

Hello Anita W, Thanks so much for the review. It's lovely to read that you found our Hotel clean and modern - we do like to keep things spick and span. Apologies that the road noise gave you trouble but am glad to read that you found a solution. I look forward to welcoming you back! Amanda Cottome General Manager More

Stayed here over a weekend to attend a course at the Royal North Shore Hospital that was just across the road. Exactly what I needed, comfortable bed, great bathroom. Being close to the hospital made it close to the St Leonard's train station. I could easily pick up a coffee and quick breakfast downstairs before heading off in the mornings... More

Hello AATrip1234, Thanks so much for leaving a review. We are, almost, the closest Hotel to the Royal North Shore Hospital and many find our proximity to it very convenient. It's lovely to hear that you enjoyed your time here with us and that you took advantage of Sure Café. I'm sorry about the confusion regarding your rate. Without knowing... More

Hello Peak_Performer, I am loving that colourful hat that you are wearing in your profile pic! It's music to our ears when hear that a guest loves our Urban Snorer bed and our beautiful "Biology" amenities. Much time goes into selecting the very best of everything to put in our rooms and it's lovely when our effort is recognised. Thanks... More

Stayed on business for 17 nights, and did not once encounter a staff member who look tired and grumpy. The service in all departments was excellent. The hotel was impeccably clean. Transport to the city is excellent; either the bus or the train (train is much quicker). Very convenient for Crow's Nest too, which has great eating and shopping (15... More

Stayed here for the first time in April 2015. Its nice enough, decor and styling in the foyer is utilitarian and for some reason reminded me of a European hotel. Room was nice enough but nothing flash. Staff are good and very friendly. However it is out of the way and I had to wait a long time for a... More

Hi David B, Sorry that you found our Hotel to be a little out of the way. We are located on the North Shore. The Hotel is ideal for exploring the North Shore area, for business people who are visiting and those attending the RNSH hospital. We find that those who are staying here to enjoy the Sydney sites are... More

Noisy rooms facing on to street, seriously what sort of idiot didn't double glaze the windows. Free wi fi, forget it! Hotel well behind the times when it comes to business traveller requirements. Look up the address on Google maps or Apple maps and it sends you to another location all together. Would be handy if this was stated at... More

Stayed at the Urban over the Easter weekend and were very pleased we did. Considered this to be a much better alternative to staying in inner Sydney. The local train station is only a few stops away from Town Hall Station (about 15mins) with the trains running very frequently. We chose to drive to the local station, but you could... More

I've stayed here twice in the past 3 years and I love this hotel. Service is simple and friendly, atmosphere is the same. Comfortable and without fuss, cheapish carparking and just up the road from the train station

We stayed here for the proximity to a function nearby. The hotel was easy to find and despite being located on busy Pacific Higway, the double glazing worked well and we slept comfortably. The service was prompt and friendly. The hotel had a boutique feel and was surprisingly busy for a weekend. The restaurant served a prompt and tasty breakfast.

Hello Stephen N, I think that we are so busy on the weekends because everyone from Canberra is coming to stay -the word must be spreading about us down there. Thanks for leaving a review. Hope to see you for the next function. Amanda Cottome General Manager More
