The hotel itself is nice enough - clean, and well appointed and the cafe does good healthy food. However as many previous reviewers have remarked the rooms at the front are loud with traffic noise at all hours and this has meant disrupted sleep. I had read the reviews and specifically asked for a quiet room at the back when... More

I stayed here overnight very recently as I had to undertake some work at Royal North Shore Hospital early the following morning. The proximity to the hospital was 5 minutes walk away, which was perfect. The staff at the front desk were very friendly - service with a smile - and even when I checked out at 6:30am, they were... We found this hotel perfect for when we had a medical appointment and will be booking in again for our follow up visits. Everything one could need was available on site including a great café serving great food. When you are coming and going at all hours 24hr room service is a bonus. The hotel was clean, well appointed and... More

This hotel is overall, understated. It has a unique charm, yet is unfussy. It is very conveniently located north of the Harbour Bridge on the main route to the northern beaches. Rooms are very comfortable though slightly small. There is parking in cramped conditions beneath the hotel. The restaurant is reasonable for food quality, though over-priced for value. Definitely a... More

We stayed here overnight for a nearby medical visit early on the second day. Check in was a breeze and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was a good size with a lovely king bed. There was a very well stocked mini bar if that is your thing. We went downstairs for a lovely coffee and cake... More

Stayed here for a work meeting. Good, clean facility with friendly check-in staff. Great restaurant/cafe on the ground floor where we ate breakfast. I had a room on the 3rd floor on the Highway side so it was noisey. Perhaps a room on the other side would be quieter. All in all though, I would stay here again.

Booked a Room with a Balcony to ensure we were not overlooking the road. The room was very comfortable with a great bed. The shower was a little small and there was no bath mat in the room. The room was quiet, and there was no traffic noise, but of course (like nearly every Australian hotel) there was noise from... More

Hello onepenguinonthemove, Thanks so much for taking the time out to write such a comprehensive review. We are passionate about doing our little bit to assist the environment and supplying Who Gives a Crap toilet paper, made from recycled paper, is one of them. We have recently switched to Biology Skincare for our in room amenities. One of the reasons... More

We had 10 people stay here for the weekend for business. Definitely won't stay there again. Very noisy from cars on Pacific highway making it impossible to sleep. Pillows were thin and not conducive to sleep. Service in the restaurant was an all time low, poor and slow without any acknowledgement. It took me an hour to get poached eggs... More

Dear sultanas1, I am so terribly sorry that you experienced this in our Café. I assure you that the service that you received is not typical. After reading the Duty Management log from that particular morning we identified a number of issues that had occurred that hadn't been managed appropriately. The primary issue being our hot plate failing in the... More

Stayed here for a business meeting. Very welcoming staff. My only complaint was the road noise which I'm not used to. Wearing ear plugs helped. I assume rooms on the other side would be quieter. Buzzing café on site.

Stayed here over a weekend to attend a course at the Royal North Shore Hospital that was just across the road. Exactly what I needed, comfortable bed, great bathroom. Being close to the hospital made it close to the St Leonard's train station. I could easily pick up a coffee and quick breakfast downstairs before heading off in the mornings... More

Hello AATrip1234, Thanks so much for leaving a review. We are, almost, the closest Hotel to the Royal North Shore Hospital and many find our proximity to it very convenient. It's lovely to hear that you enjoyed your time here with us and that you took advantage of Sure Café. I'm sorry about the confusion regarding your rate. Without knowing... More
