Had a reunion of past work mates & some of us from around the state stayed here due to convenience. It was a pleasant surprise as I don't remember even seeing the Mirage when I lived down here 30 yrs ago. Simple but well fitted out rooms but the location looking across Pittwater & watching the sunset from the restaurant... More

I just needed somewhere to stay overnight after a speaking engagement at RPAYC. For the Northern beaches Newport area, this was well situated. The reception was friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. And, at last, accommodation leading the way with free-wifi. The surroundings were very quiet and only a short walk to the pub and local shops as well... More

This hotel looks nice and has a beautiful location but when we stayed here the room was not in a good spot in the hotel. I didn't get any sleep due to there being a wedding on the roof and the music was really loud, when the wedding had finished, I could hear everyone leaving and their conversations. The room... More

Our room was clean but the TV controller did not work, the bedside light did not work and the toilet leaked on the floor. Room service arrived with no serviettes no salt and pepper and no knives and forks. Next morning the hot breakfast was stone cold. We complained about the room and was moved to the family room. The... More

I've been here a few times for different events (weddings, work conference, executive retreat) and each time, the hotel has been comfortable with the staff lovely and helpful. The hotel is clean and well-appointed, but could really use a serious injection of funds as it looks like it's been years since the hotel received a renovation. That being said, the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Mirage for 2 nights mid week (Wed/Thur) whilst we explored the northern beaches. The hotel is well located for our purpose. We stayed in a standard room on the top floor. It had a king bed, plenty of storage and a small balcony with a view ove the Pittwater. Although a bit tired,... More

I can highly recommend the Mirage. Friendly service and nice and big rooms. Having the L90 busline right around the corner it makes it very convenient to commute to Sydney center. While I was in winter there the area is pretty quiet in summer it might be more busy.

The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was average with a balcony so small it was barely big enough for one person, certainly not inducive to relaxing, due to small size and view of building opposite. If you wish direct water view and decent-size balcony, it is necessary to specify.

23rd May 2015 was an important occasion for my partner and I. We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary. I spoke to a very lovely girl at Mirage who took the booking, I stated that i wanted a room with a view and a late checkout if possible. I then rang back several days later and upgraded to a Spa Room,... More

We were greeted at this hotel by very friendly staff but unfortunately despite it being recently renovated to a good standard its design allows the rooms to be quite noisy. The first room we were given sounded as though they were sanding the walls next door, we checked out a second room and the plumbing stack of the restaurant above... More
