Great central location, just a skip and a hop to either seaside of Manly. We stayed for a night in the one bedroom studio in June, with two kids and a grandparent too. It had been a pretty wet week. The room smelled really damp. The courtyard was nowhere you want to hang out in. It was reasonably priced for... More

We chose the Manly Lodge through Wotif, foolishly without reading any reviews. First impression late at night was "okay" however when we found sand in the bed our opinion changed. After a minimal breakfast with an unsmiling host lurking around we asked for clean sheets. Arriving back later we found the sheets had indeed been changed (well done !??) but... More

I spent a weekend, before continuing my business travelling around Australia. The breakfast is very poor, although the guys working at the hotel try to put all their energy. It's very close to the beach, which is good if you want to surf. However the rooms are small and windows don't close well, so the light wakes you up early.... More

Positives first; Deluxe suite bed was comfortable provided with plentiful pillows. Swipe card entry of room and hotel after hours was safe and worked well. Free wifi worked well and were given a parking permit for free parking along Isthmus zone on street. Maid service was helpful by cleaning up dirty dishes, making bed and replacing used towels. Kitchenette area... More

So when you think of a boutique hotel you think of ammenities at a lower price. This place had none and was ill conceived. The free breakfast was cold cereal and bread. No yogurt or any fruit, not even bananas. The coffee was very good however and complementary. The room had a stove, but no pots or pans. No toaster... More

This property ticks the boxes for "boutique hotel" in that it has a certain charm, with leadlight windows, timber fittings and good-sized rooms. But it is in serious need of some TLC, and even more serious need of decent cleaners. I don't think I've ever stayed in a place with a dirtier bathroom. The spa bath/shower had moldy grouting, hair... More

My family and I stayed at the 2 bedroom unit in October, 2013. The place is old and pretty basic. The continental breakfast they served was simple but adequate. The internet worked only near the lobby. The big plus is the location. Manly is a great beach community and the property is in the heart of Manly; close to the... More

We had a budget room as we needed a base for 3 nights. The room was so dirty as was the hotel overall! Badly stained Doona cover, thread bare sheets, a wall fan that was black including strands of dust that worked like streamers when on, the shower recess covered in mould (I wore my husbands size 12 rubber thongs... Thank you Manly Lodge. A whole bunch of us stayed with you last weekend and we had 5 different types of rooms. Loved the atmosphere, furniture, rooms - especially the cooking facilities. As a sporting group it was good to be able to cook. Was good having breakfast provided and awesome sitting on the small balcony sipping coffee and watching... More

We stayed here for 2 nights recently, great location to the beach, Ferries & the Corso. We had the Family Budget room & it was .... budget. BUT, it was clean except for the mouldy wooden boards in the tiny shower. We used this place only as a base. Would I stay there again?, yes. I will be heading back... More
