I have always wanted to visit the Quarantine station, and stay overnight and I got my chance using a groupon voucher for the first time,(which is often a reason for hesitation),but it worked fine. You just have to remember and actually ring and make a booking. I was worried it would be noisy(not the outside but the adjoining room) which is why... More

We stayed at the Q Station on a Groupon. We booked our stay 2 months in advance and I upgraded us to a Deluxe Room so that we had an ensuite. When we checked in, we were delivered to our room which was right next to the breakfast room. The receptionist tried to tell me that we wouldn't hear anything... More

Stayed over the weekend on the Friday and Saturday night. The history of the place is amazing and the environment setting is absolutely perfect. We were expecting accommodation that was exactly how it was given the history and was excited to feel connected to that history. The only letdown (which is major) is the bus system for transporting guests to... More

What a fabulous place to stay. Rooms are really clean and a good size. The shared bathroom one big room but you have your own lockable shower/bath and your own toilet. it would have had to have been the best shower I have had in a long time. The Q Station is a fabulous part of Australian history. You can... More

Although I haven't ranked Q Station particularly highly I do want to go back with time to explore and do a ghost tour. It's only a $12 taxi ride to/from Manly where there a number of interesting foodie options too. High points - the grounds, the historical buildings, the history, the cove, the natural beauty. Late checkout also appreciated. Low... More

Stayed one night during the week and found the venue to be clean and comfortable. It was a particularly cold night but the heating kept us warm without bother. The room we had featured a lounge, separate bathroom and bedroom with dual access from the front and rear. Being the old quarantine station there are extensive grounds to be explored... More

Second time here, another conference but this is a real experience. This was the facility used to quarantine visitors and immigrants suspected of carrying contagions from the 1830's right up 1984. These days it is a unique hotel, conference and event venue that is well worth a visit. You can stay in comfortable hotel style barracks rooms or seperate 2,... More

Close to the Sydney Harbour, but in a unique location for Sydney. The old quarantine station has been transformed into a hotel and functions center. It was confusing at first because you can't drive to your room and have to catch the bus. There were only a couple of people staying when we were there, but the restaurant had a... More

Wow, wow, wow!!! Stayed in a three bedroom former staff cottage. Amazing views of Manly and Sydney Harbour. Recommend picnic lunch at Isolation Lounge followed by a wander down to the wharf precinct. Check out the museum and absorb Australian history. Boilerhouse Restaurant for dinner was superb. Ghost tour would be spooky.

A very old quarantine station of many seperate and spread out buildings all over the place that has been attempted to become a boutique hotel "area".But it doesnt work. Although the residential rooms are O.K.,the rest leaves a lot to be desired. The public toilets are a disgrace, broken down and blocked etc. and as the cottages are all over the... More

Dear Karl P, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Q Station and I would like to express my sincere apologies we did not meet your expectations.
