I stayed in one of the cottages with 5 other people for the long weekend. When I arrived the room wasn't ready however I was able to leave my bags at reception & head down to the restaurant & bar while I waited. The location is very hilly with lots of walking to get around, however there are shuttle busses... More

Cultural tourism in Australia is largely delivered by government and very small operators. Occasionally government and medium sized tourism operators form partnerships. Q Station is one of these examples. This was a complex and difficult project to get up and running, and required incredible determination from the developer / lessee / operator. There were many opponents that said that only... More

They have renovated the rooms very well and the lounges feel like they are just as they were in the 1920's and 30's. The views are wonderful of manly harbour and there is a nice private beach below the rooms after descending some steps. It's a great weekend couples getaway and has an onsite bar and restaurant or its a... More

Having heard of this haunted hotel from my oldest daughter who had no interest in staying, my youngest daughter and I spent a night here before leaving Sydney. It was lovely! This is by no means a "run of the mill" hotel and the setting is a bit rugged and very serene. During the tour we took later in the... More

A great location with lots of wildlife (though something should be done about the rabbits!). After that it was downhill. Be aware this is a former quarantine station with minimal change to structure of the accommodation. All the accommodation is in timber buildings with shared access from common verandahs. Reminds mostly of visits as a schoolchild in 1960's to Sport... More

It is in a wonderful setting parts overlooking sydney harbour, it's history, setting and events are great. It's small beach charming. However it is a little way out of the main... More

Nice hotel. Spectacular setting. However, cleaning of room and Bathroom awful. Cleaning of Bathroom not made on the first 2 days. Rest of the days, used towels were exchanged, but floor remained during my whole stay uncleaned. For the room, on two occasions i ordered room service for dinner. Cleaning staff left the next Morning the dirty dishes in the... More
