Booking online, the photos offered a completely different depiction of this hotel. What looked like a basic but clean hotel (basic was expected for the price), ended up being one of the most disgusting places I've ever stayed in - even worse than some of the dodgy European hostels I've visited in the past. The second I walked through the... More

Clean sheets, clean towels, air-con working and friendly staff. Handy position if your going to the cricket, like us. If you don't mind worn carpet, peeling paint, dripping tap and a fridge that's never been defrosted; then this is for you! Wouldn't recommend it for families, but good if your "not to fussed" and off to the SCG or Randwick.

The sheets and towels were clean, but the whole experience was "dodgy". A sink with no plug, no cups or mugs or teaspoons, a kettle but only 2 saucers and a plate, old coffee sachet, frozen milk "pods", stains on the floor, curtains and walls, shower was a dribble, mould and dust in the bathroom, broken cupboards, staff were polite... We've stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times, it's in a great position for sporting or racing events. It's also handy to the eastern suburbs beaches and central between the city and the airport. Sadly, that's about the extent of the good news. Rooms are now very shabby and dated. Worn out carpets, very old bathrooms. Beds are saggy... More

This hotel is for the budget conscious. All rooms have a balcony which is a big plus if you are a smoker. I paid $129 for the night and got room 112 overlooking the main highway. Most of the traffic noise is cut out when you close the balcony windows. Hotel staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is... More

Issues: pulled back blanket and discovered what appeared to be blood stains. • bed was the worst I've slept in, changed rooms and had the same issue. Had to put the single mattress on the double just to make it moderately ok • issues with the air conditioning unit leaking in the room throughout the night and constantly dripping. Couldn't... More

Well located to get to the golf & the Fox Studio/SCG area with several food options all within walking distance (nice pub, Mexican, Thai, Indian, Chinese, pizza etc) & free off street parking. The room smelt & 'felt' clean, however it is in need of an upgrade (or ask to not have room 122). The room was tired/old with a... More

Stayed here for two nights in November 2014 to attend the Australian Open golf and the nearby Australian course. The room had a double bed and a bunk. It is quite rundown and in need of an update but the two key things for a decent room were there. It had good beds and a good shower. If all you... More

I was worried after reading all these shocking reviews. Maybe they lifted their game but I found the room & bathroom clean. The air con worked well. Access to a free car park & they let me keep my car there an extra day even though I had signed out as I wanted to explore the city by foot. For... More

This place is disgusting. The family room we stayed in was tiny and cramped. Very small and grotty bathroom. Beds uncomfortable, pillows horrible, bedding with tears and stains. Did not want to touch anything in this place. To top it off the walls are very thin and we had to listen to the profanity and yelling in a nearby room... More
