My boyfriend and I stayed with Jake's in July. I was a bit worried due to some unpleasant reviews I had read on Tripadvisor. Fortunately we decided to ignore those reviews and have a look for ourselves. The whole trip we couldn't figure out why anyone would say anything negative about this hotel. I had read that the rooms were... more

We decided to stay at Jakes because we had had good reports from friends who had visited, and TripAdvisor had good reviews - with one exception - which as it turned out should have been the one we paid attention to. Friendly enough staff, but we came away with the impression that they constantly had their hands out... Dougies world... more

Jake's is part of the Island Outpost Group in Jamaica responsible for the glamour spots of GoldenEye and Strawberry Hill, but that is where the glamour and quality ends. This place is really in a state of disrepair and should not be part of the Island Outpost group. You would think its a boutique hotel, but it actually has 43... more

From the moment we arrived until the day we had to leave, Jake's was enchanting and totally relaxing. My husband and I chose Jake's after deciding to elope to Jamaica, because we wanted a magical, intimate place that was easy going. That's exactly what we found at Jakes. The service was always good and always there for us. Adina, Jake's... more

we loved this little gem. It is not as fancy as other island outpost hotels but service much more friendly than anywhere else in Carribean. We loved the laid back atmosphere, the food, the people, the setting. Yes, the beach was a bit disappointing but the pool was amazing and the views fantastic. If you still want a bit of... more

Jakes may have been something special at one time but it is now run down and without the advertised charm. I am a big fan of small, unique accomodations that offer a true local experience. My husband and I have been to Jamaica many, many times and stayed at every type of hotel you can think of, in every part... more

Rooms are very, very tiny, dingy & oven-style hot. No fan, no A/C, no front desk service, no running water. Food expensive and average. Beach is craggy, dirty and tides are really rough. There are no smooth sand type areas for relaxing and sunbathing and no areas for snorkeling and/or diving period. The seas are just too rough and it's... more

There's no better place for an off-the-beaten-path Jamaican experience than Jake's in Treasure Beach. This was our third stay in the past 10 years and we were once again blown away by the staff's generousity of warmth and charm and the festive ambiance of the buildings and grounds. The local community and surrounding areas provide endless opportunities for recreation, exploration... more

I met up with friends for a destination wedding. 60+ guests from overseas in the community of Treasure Beach and 100% of them loved the place. Jake's is truly a true gem in Jamaica and so is treasure beach. They offer the real Jamaican Experience! more

We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and didn't arrive until late at night in Kingston. We weren't sure what to expect, but leaving the airport we were very glad that we had pre-arranged travel through Jake's. The driver was really nice and popped by Jake's nearly everyday. The drive to the resort took about 3 hours and was an... more
