We had 3 nights at Jake's after a fortnight traveling all over Jamaica. We were sad not to have had more time. The hotel has a uniquely friendly family atmosphere with professional service. Locals are in and out eating or having a drink at Dougie's wonderful bar and there is a real sense that the hotel is at the center... more

My wife and I have just returned from what may have been the best vacation we've ever had, at the unparalleled Jake's. We've been fortunate enough to have traveled to some pretty amazing locations all over the world, and have to tell you that there's something magical going on at Jake's. It's the kind of place we're going to keep... more

I stayed at Jake's for a week with my wife, brother-in-law and his wife, and sister and her friend...we lived in Mussels, a great little seaside house with an amazing verandah 10' from the ocean. It's safe to say I consider the house my home away from home. This was our third time there and it gets better each time.... more

I've been going to Jamaica for nearly 10 years and Jakes for the past 8 years. I love everything about it. I have stayed at least a dozen times probably more. The staff is excellent, the food fantastic, and the views to die for. You want the true Jamaican vibe this is your place. I'm a solo traveler and find... more

Our week at Jakes was fantastic, couldnt have been better. We stayed in Abalone2 and had blackie the dog for company for most of the week. We went mostly to photograph the wildlife and were not disappointed, the Black river crocs came and posed for us. With humming birds flitting around at breakfast and frogs and hermit crabs at night... more

In April my husband and I decided to wed in Jamaica. We never questioned anywhere else on earth other than Jakes resort. It was an experience that not only the bride and groom will remember forever but the 30 other guests as well. All of our guest agreed it was the most wonderful wedding they had ever been to. The... more

Jakes is a great small place to stay, we had 6 fun days there and got an upgrade to a fabulous seaview on the water's edge room. The seawater swimming pool works well and the modest small bar area is well run by Dougie. The food is of a good standard, with some special dishes like Garlic BBQ Lobster which... more

My Wife and I went to Jakes around the beginning of Feb for 3 days, it is a bit far from the airport, about 21/2 hour drive., but it is well worth it, I love Jamaica and go their frequently, it has been a great experience staying at the major hotels( Sandals, Riu, Hedo Grand Lido) in the well known... more

Me and my spouse travelled to Jamaica over New-Year and got to spend the last 4 days of our ten day trip at Jake's. We wanted to stay forever. Before that we had seen a fair bit of the island. Started in Montego at the Ritz Carlton but we might as well have been in Floriday and the place was... more

My husband and I stayed at Jake's for a week and it was the most wonderful vacation because it was romantic, relaxing, the food was awesome, the staff at the hotel treated us like family, the service was casual due to the nature of the food being home made (banana ice cream, yumm), the staff was friendly, and remembered our... more
