Fair conditioned travelodge as part of a service station along M4. Its facilities are very basic and condition is just fair. But it is very cheap (£41) so we cannot complain for more. Our family room faces a service path and is not noisy at all. Convenient spot for visitors to Cardiff. One major problem during this visit was that... More

As I'm sure is the case with many of you reading this review, you are probably dreading the day you check into this Travelodge having read of the 'awful' time many people have had. I did exactly the same, I even contemplated cancelling the booking but then ran out to buy some earplugs and packed my desk fan in fear... More

7 of us visited this hotel for 5 nights to see other family members living close by. we booked 2 family rooms which were good - you get what you pay which wasn#t a bad price. although one of the single beds was very hard. it was very hard to cool down at night and when windows were open the... Stayed last Friday - Probably a bit unfair to criticise too much as it's not often we get hot spells like this which meant we had to sleep with windows open so had a lot of noise from the M4 and garage.

Upon arrival we found the reception empty with a sign saying that they were away and to press the button for assistance. We pressed the bell and around 10 minutes later i was still waiting so i decided to time it as i really couldn't believe i had stood so long and after travelling all the way from Durham to... More

We were greeted by a bunch of young adult boy racers in the car park. Not a great advert to start with. Stayed here for 3 nights with two work colleagues. We were working early morning till late. We needed a good nights sleep as we are coach drivers. None of us had more than 3 hours sleep each night.... More

Reception staff on arrival was friendly, staff at check out wasnt. Room was JUST about clean enough TV remote control not working and reception said they didnt have any more batteries (in a service station). Compromised with staff member for us to have complimentary breakfast box. Payed for the '24 hour access to wifi for streaming TV and films' -... More

Its on a junction of the M4, this means it's great for getting places quicly, but not so great if your at the far end of the hotel, near the slip road - gets a bit noisy if you have the windows open.Great staff, clean rooms, comfy beds. Without setting foot outside you have a full services next to reception,... More

I paid the cheapest price so from that basis it was OK. It was a Travelodge so dont expect much - but if I'd paid over £50 I would be disappointed. The public areas looked tired and uninviting. The bedroom had the "new" look - it was OK - but it had obviously been done in a hurry - bad... More

Recently refurbished with new beds which are extremely comfortable. We were very lucky as the bed we had only arrived that day so we were the first to sleep in it! Very close to the M4 which makes it ideal to get into Cardiff or to quickly get back to the motorway but as a result it is extremely noisy with... More
