What a shambles, we booked this hotel on 16th July 2013 to guarantee we had somewhere to stay after watching the Speedway Grand Prix on 12th July 2014. Well planned you may think! Well think again. We phoned from the Stadium to let the hotel know we would not arrive until after 10pm. We got there at around 10.15pm, no... More

Had a brilliant day in Cardiff, when we arrived at the hotel "with free on site parking" the car park was full we entered the lobby to smell the smell of cigarette smoke and no reception staff. After finding someone we were then told the "new computer system had an error and we were booked in for the next day... More

As we live in Barry, we have no need to use this hotel, but regularly enjoy the Sunday carvery! Good food & good value, friendly staff, happy to chat!! This hotel has a bar on one side, more commonly known as 'The Bassett' & a large room on the other side where you are seated, served your meat & then... More

Friendly chearful welcome, but staff never seen again. Clean cotton bedding, but no mattress or pillow protection. Stained curtains and thick dust, so much so I couldn't bring myself to close them at night. Extremely noisy during the night, with a "domestic" situation taking place a few yards away at around 3.00am with some choice language, and the closing of... More

Basic, good sized clean room. Old fashioned but was all we needed for one night. Disappointing that we didn't have wifi in our part of the hotel, but 3G speed was suffient and we were out most the time other than over night. Breakfast was basic, but filled a gap. Flexible around check in and out time. Clean linen and... More

The bed was really comfortable, and the room was clean, though really hot. The staff were all friendly. My booking hadn't made it to the front desk, though; I got lucky that there was a room free. All that was available for breakfast was cereal but no milk, and one slice of bread, with jam but no butter.

We stayed at the Tadross hotel for the 2014 rugby 6 nations. Both myself and my wife found the hotel to be very clean and tidy with very comfortable rooms. The bar attached was an added bonus which we made full use of! The staff and manager Zoe were amazing with us, printing train time tables off for us and... More

The Six Nations was in town, and all hotels are either expensive or fully booked. We found this hotel at the last minute and there is nothing bad to say. Great room, clean and comfortable. The location is very handy, 20 min train ride to Cardiff city centre and stadium. The staff is very friendly and you can get drinks... More

Having eventually got round to writing a review for The Tadross (as promised) in 2010, it is reassuring to read the reviews since and see the hotel has maintained the same standards as when last visited. The couple running the establishment were friendly and the family sized accomodation which was a extension at the back of the building was clean... More
