Nice looking, but medioker town hotel that's a bit run down. The toilet wasn't working, the room was small and needed an update and it was very humid. Though the staff at the hotel was most helpful and service minded. The restaurant, though, wasn't functioning well. Breakfast by buffet, with a helpful manager. Not a place you long to get... More

We stayed here for a Saturday evening. Our welcome at reception was poor. The room was very small though adequately furnished. Our evening meal in the restaurant was good though they had run out of steaks at 8pm. The bar was frequented by non-resident locals who were mostly drunk and shouting "oggi oggi oggi" etc.etc. The room was noisy from... More

A pleasant stay, clean room, excellent staff, room service and food perfect. Bed was a little lumpy but that could have been the intense mugginess of that evening that stopped me from settling. Signal issues prevented telephone calls being made from my room, internet service was weak and basic TV channels working Bbc1, 2 ITV 3 and ch 4. The... More

I stayed there for almost 3 weeks. It was my first trip to the UK and I was there for work. The rooms were quaint, as I am used to king suites in the US. The food was top notch, and the beer was cold. The staff are where the real treasure is though! They were all quite friendly, willing... More

We stayed for one night on 7th June and our stay was better than expected. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom which had a full size bath. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Welshpool.

Stayed here for two nights in June 2014. This is a 25 bed town centre hotel, with a mix of the quirky and modern. The hotel, public rooms and bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. It had a comfortable bar and starbucks with a nice if slightly limited choice of real ales. Serve yourself breakfast was good and evening set... More

I would vote this hotel as the most helpful and well organised reception that I have ever met as they have a positive answer to any query and goes the extra distance to reach it. In the centre of the charming town but has a worn out and tired look. Its badly in need of refurbishing. The people in the hotel are... More
