Visited Welshpool on business last minute and Vickie and her husband accommodated us very nicely. Had both evening dinner and breakfast here- both were superb couldn't ask more. Great value also. The scenery in the surrounding area was stunning too. I would highly recommend if you're in Welshpool or the area.

A wonderful find. Always a warm welcome and so friendly with very comfy beds and facilities all nestled in stunning countryside. A warm fire and homely feel. Well worth a visit if you are heading to Mid Wales.

My wife and stayed 1 night on a long drive back from the Highlands to Heathrow. I can see why Vickie gets such good reviews ... lovely room, warm welcome, great breakfast, nice rural setting. Theres a good sized guest lounge with fireplace and a large table to share with other guests for breakfast. Vickie does dinners as well but... More

After finding this little gem on trip advisor we were not disappointed. Arrived late afternoon and greeted with a pot of tea and home made welsh cakes - what a welcome from Vickie, the perfect most sociable host. She was actually made for the type of profession. The converted schoolhouse, the views, were all perfect. A lovely family with Tim... More

We needed a base to see a few National Trust locations, and found the ideal place. The owners, Vicki and Tim, could not have been more helpful. Nothing was any bother, from menu to comfort, all was just right. My wife and I were warmly greeted with tea and home made biscuits, and shown to our room, which had marvellous views.... More

A short family break for one night but which turned out to be a great time out, mainly due to the service and location of the Old School B&B. We stayed with our five year old son and his grandparents, meaning we had sole use of the sitting room and were able to eat an evening meal and relax /... More

We decided to spend two nights here with our daughter taking both of the available rooms Vickie and Tim were excellent hosts and we immediately felt at home, especially when offered a hot drink and Welsh cakes on arrival Taking both rooms meant that we got the shared guest living area to ourselves for both nights - it was like... Thank you for your appreciation. We also feel that our separate guest accommodation -that is part of the house but totally self contained - gives our guests the privacy they deserve. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay so much and felt the benefit of our evening meals. So many of our guests appreciate not having to go... More

A lovely one night stay with my wife and two children in March 2015. A very warm welcome and my five year old daughter wanted to mention that the lady owner was lovely. So nice to have the guest lounge available for the sole use of the two guest bedrooms. Meant after the children had gone to bed we had... More

Having you to stay was our pleasure. As a family we know how difficult it can be to get a good family sized room so we wanted to make sure our family room had all the things in it we look for. From your review it looks like we are getting it right. We really hope to see you all... More

Had a lovely stay, accommodation was superb and very clean, the guest lounge/dinner is great with a roaring log burner, just what you need on a cold winters night. Vicky was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble, Daisy the black Labrador is very friendly. Highly recommended, great country location.

Thank you so much for taking time to review us. As a seasoned traveller yourself we very much value your opinion. We think that winter should be no different in a B and B to summer in the comforts on offer and being warm is a must! We look forward to seeing you again soon and we are sure you... More

What a charming host Vicki was. Nothing was too much trouble. The B & B has plenty of character and the rooms are well appointed and clean. Vicki even booked us in for dinner in the local pub, Kings Arms, I think it was called. The breakfast was delicious with all the condiments needed at a time to suit us.... More

It was great to see you all again and thank you for your review. It was, once again, great fun to have you stay. Hope to see you all again next year if the rally comes this way again. Best wishes Vickie More
