We booked a last minute room (without breakfast) over the phone. Staff were lovely, helpful before we got there and very welcoming once we had arrived and left. The room was fine - a couple things that could have been better such as the shower (the head may have been a bit broke, not much pressure), the busy noise from... More

I have to say that my experience of this hotel was not that good. I arrived just before 5pm after a long walk on Offa's Dyke to find no one in and no one answering any of the phone numbers I had. I was let in an hour later by the Bar Mamager who was helpful and explained that the... More

A local pub & B&B ideally situated ...less than 5 mins walk into town. Stayed here on one weekend in mid June during the World Cup, so perfect for us to relax in during the evenings after a hard days walking on Offas Dyke. Rooms were slightly dated & small but comfortable for the 4 of us. We all had... More

When she had to tell us she was full, the lady here could not do enough for us to help us find another B&B. She made several phone calls and came up with several strategies to help us. We had just finished walking Glyndwr's Way with full packs and were very tired. We very much appreciated the assistance. Absolutely excellent!

Found ourselves with nowhere to stay after arriving for our pre booked stay at the Railway inn at Forden to be told that they were shutting & they had sent an email notification cancelling our stay!! Found the Oak in Welshpool that was unfortunately fully booked but they kindly rang ahead & booked us in at the Westwood Park. The... More

I arrived quite early but no problem and the management were relaxed about my muddy wet state after spending the day walking on Offa's Dyke. Received some good advice about where to eat etc. Ideally placed on the edge of the town centre and quiet location. Comfortable room and bed, lying in a little longer and leaving a little later... Initial room allocated was facing the busy road but I was immediately offered another one at the back which, whilst not en-suite, was blissfully quiet. Great breakfast! Nice people and very good value for money!

Welshpool now has a bypass, so there is only a little traffic noise at commute times. We would suggest a room towards the rear of the property if you are a light sleeper. More

5 of us had a splendid 3 nights at the Westwood Park. Diane could not have been more helpful, the rooms were very comfortable, the bar was excellent, so were the breakfasts. A lovely friendly atmosphere.

Apparently, this pub B&B is popular with bikers and hikers, so I guess that sometimes it gets quite busy and noisy. The building looks quite small from the front, but it extends quite a long way back. As a result, the building is a confusing mass of rooms, corridors and doors. My bedroom was very small, though I only planned... More

Booked via local Tourist Office. Rooms are very comfortable, nice car park at side for bikes and a very good pint and welcome from staff and locals. Breakfast excellent and all in great value for money. Welshpool is very central and roads around area are a bikers paradise. Decent restaurants in town too.
