5 nights in a truly wonderful location. Everything was perfect, Comfortable, clean and fully equipped self catering accommodation. We felt right at home immediately, and didn't want to leave. A little treasure hidden away in beautiful surroundings.

This is not a B&B or a hotel it's lifestyle experience and one that I can highly recommend. Great host fantastic food great ambience. We will be back again and again, sorry Paul and john. A very unique property with amazing attention to detail.

The main drawback to our stay at The Old Vicarage was that it was for only 2 nights. John and Paul have renovated this property beautifully in a Victorian theme, which added to the enjoyment of our stay. Our hosts were friendly, attentive and helpful. Tea and freshly made cakes were provided on our arrival and, on our second evening,... More

We stayed at the Old Vicarage two years ago and had a wonderful time which also proved to make a lasting impression on us. We enjoy exploring new places and so it is rare for us to return no matter how good but with just a few precious days available to relax John and Paul's establishment seemed to call us... More

We have just spent one night at the wonderful Old Vicarage at Presteigne. From the moment we stepped through the door we were transported into the wonderful world of John and Paul (named in order of introduction not necessarily in order of importance!). A welcoming pot of tea, home made scones (still warm) we were taken into the drawing room... More

We spent 4 nights at the Old Vicarage. Our 3rd stay. John and Paul were very welcoming as always. Paul cooked for us on 3 nights and we went to The Stagg at Titley for one dinner (also good). John is the perfect host serving us our meals. From there we walked on Hergest Ridge, visited Hay-on-Wye, walked at Elan... More

Stumbling off Offa's Dyke parched, late and exhausted we were greeted at the door by John and Paul offering us iced water on a tray and welcoming them into their home. If it were not a living and breathing home with all necessary mod cons (wi fi, electricity, heating etc) it would be possible to belive that you had stepped... More

Although our stay was a short two nights, it felt like the clock (kindly) stood still for us at The Old Vicarage while we enjoyed the gorgeous gardens, the unparalleled hospitality and conversations with Paul and John, savored the scrumptious breakfasts, and slept in pure comfort. It felt like a world away from busy London and couldn't have been a... More

We had the opportunity to stay again at the Old Vicarage. Barkey and the Girls (Lillie and Florence?), were a new fabulous addition - 3 of the biggest and friendlies pigs I've ever seen. Also a an apple, berry, and medlar orchard located in paradise!!! John and Paul were their usual charming selves - great hosts!

The hosts Paul and John are the best you could ever wish for, their attention to detail is first class, the hospitality is second to none. The meals prepared by Paul and served by John were Michilan Star Quality, the wine also of very good quality. If you try it you will not be disappointed, in fact you will be... More
