We booked in for Sunday lunch for four people. Not having been before we didn't know what to expect, but could not have been more delighted. The atmosphere was of a genteel bygone era, unhurried and relaxed but efficient and welcoming. We had a relaxed drink before lunch in the lounge, and were then taken through to the dining room... Travelled down to stay with relatives in Herefordshire last week, but as it was our 47th anniversary, we decided to take the scenic route through Central Wales and break our journey with an overnight stop. We found this hotel on-line and were very pleased with our choice. It is a quiet relaxing family-run hotel in a nice rural setting with... More

Stayed for 2 nights at this lovely relaxing hotel. Beryl and her daughter were very helpful with local walks etc. The food is excellent and an Ideal position for walking or mountain bike riding. After a day out you can play croquet or table tennis on the lawn with a great Gin & tonic. The bedrooms are big and very... More

I stayed two nights with my elderly mother on their midweek break. The house is lovely, a historic childhood home of Wilfrid Thesiger, but gracious and comfortable, with beautiful gardens and cosy bar and sitting room. Food is local, much from their own gardens, and delicious and generous. The accessible ground floor rooms, manageable size and friendly service were perfect... More

Milebrook House Hotel is different from other hotels that I have visited. It has an old-fashioned feel and touch. You can enjoy your drink and home-made canapes in a sitting room and Beryl takes your orders. We ate one meal in the more formal dining room and the second night we enjoyed our "pub" meal in the more relaxed room.... More

We had a wonderful time staying at the Milebrook House Hotel. We were welcomed by Beryl with a cup of tea and home made shortbread and shown to our delightful bedrooms. Pre-dinner drinks came with home made canapes and the dinner each evening was delicious and varied. The walks were fantastic and made us feel we earned the fabulous breakfast... More

From the minute we arrived the service we received was excellent. Beryl and her staff were so welcoming and attentive. The hotel has such character and the gardens are simply beautiful. We stayed for a two night break for a special occasion and the food we are each night was both varied and of a very high quality. We will... More

We have stayed in this hotel many times and have always had excellent accommodation and food to die for. On my husband's 60th birthday he was presented with a home made cake and staff sang Happy Birthday! The location is peaceful and picturesque and there are many places to visit locally. Can't wait until our next visit.

From arriving at the hotel we were made very welcome. The hotel is a beautiful building, set in beautiful countryside and is a home from home. We were offered tea and crumpets on arrival. We chose the hotel as they were having a wine tasting event with dinner, it was a great evening and great value for money. The dinner... More
