I stayed two nights with my elderly mother on their midweek break. The house is lovely, a historic childhood home of Wilfrid Thesiger, but gracious and comfortable, with beautiful gardens and cosy bar and sitting room. Food is local, much from their own gardens, and delicious and generous. The accessible ground floor rooms, manageable size and friendly service were perfect... More

Excellent family run small country house hotel in a beautiful area, ideal for a short break - go walking on Offa's Dyke or vist the Judges Lodging. Very good food with some direct from garden, fine breakfast

Milebrook House Hotel is different from other hotels that I have visited. It has an old-fashioned feel and touch. You can enjoy your drink and home-made canapes in a sitting room and Beryl takes your orders. We ate one meal in the more formal dining room and the second night we enjoyed our "pub" meal in the more relaxed room.... More

We had a wonderful time staying at the Milebrook House Hotel. We were welcomed by Beryl with a cup of tea and home made shortbread and shown to our delightful bedrooms. Pre-dinner drinks came with home made canapes and the dinner each evening was delicious and varied. The walks were fantastic and made us feel we earned the fabulous breakfast... More

From the minute we arrived the service we received was excellent. Beryl and her staff were so welcoming and attentive. The hotel has such character and the gardens are simply beautiful. We stayed for a two night break for a special occasion and the food we are each night was both varied and of a very high quality. We will... More

We have stayed in this hotel many times and have always had excellent accommodation and food to die for. On my husband's 60th birthday he was presented with a home made cake and staff sang Happy Birthday! The location is peaceful and picturesque and there are many places to visit locally. Can't wait until our next visit.

From arriving at the hotel we were made very welcome. The hotel is a beautiful building, set in beautiful countryside and is a home from home. We were offered tea and crumpets on arrival. We chose the hotel as they were having a wine tasting event with dinner, it was a great evening and great value for money. The dinner... More

We have stayed here many times and always have a relaxing time, with great food. Mrs Marsden is always there to ensure everything is 'just so'. A great family run hotel, always good for a few days away with some enjoyable walking on the doorstep.

Yes, Emperor Haile Selassie really did stay here a long time ago! We on the other hand were simply passing by enroute home and saw the sign advertising cream teas. It was lovely warm, sunny autumnal day. We were greeted and seated on the exterior patio overlooking a beautifully kept garden, pronto. Ordered two coffees and crossiants. All arrived in... More

We had a four-night dinner/B&B break in this pleasant hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival. Our rooms were a perfect size, with ensuite bathroom and shower. We were welcomed in the bar in the evening by Beryl and she was most helpful in providing information on walks in the area and so the next day we enjoyed exploring... More
