This was our first foray into 'Glamping' and I think we have been spoiled from the offset. Following the directions, you are a good four miles away from the nearest main road, all done a forestry commission track - you end up in the most stunning piece of Welsh countryside. We stayed in the Easy Tipi, which was just 100... More

Wow, I have just come back from four days of absolute bliss. It was everything I hoped for and more. It’s so beautiful there I really got back in touch with nature and myself. There is everything you could possibly need in the Tipi; I stayed in the easy Tipi, they really have thought of everything, I never moved from... More

One of the best experiences of my life to date . We stayed in the waterfall tipi , which was perfect! View from the tipi is just as stunning outside as it is inside. Would highly recommend Eco retreats to anyone looking for a little escape !

We stumbled across eco retreats on the internet and sharing a love of tipi's were intrigued. The reviews read well and so we took the plunge, usually staying in hotels or b&b's we were a little nervous to say the least. Booking was easy and communication was great. We received confirmation, useful tips and an easy to follow map for... More

Thanks very much for your review and feedback. We’re very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Following your comments about the hamper we’ve tried to make it clearer on our website just what’s in the hamper (organic wine, biscuits, pasta and pasta sauce). We don’t make much on this; part of the reason we’ve included these things is so... More

So, we booked a 'Remote Tipi' in the hope of getting away from everyone and everything for a couple of nights. Made the booking online, then contacted Eco Retreats via telephone to confirm and arrange payment. All way quick and easy. We were e-mailed confirmation and receipt of payment, along with useful information for your stay and a basic map... More

Thanks very much for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, our two Remote tipis are a bit of a trek up a steep hill so please do go for an Easy tipi if you’d prefer an easier walk! Sorry about the animal life - we aim to ensure that the tipi is properly cleaned before... More

We stayed in a Tipi at the end of April and the weather was forecast to be very wet. When we arrived the rain stopped and it stayed dry for the whole time we were there. We were shown to our tipi up the hill. It was a bit of a trek with bags but no problem. The tipi was... More

After what was definitely an exhausting week organising our wedding, we headed off on our honeymoon and straight to Eco Retreats. Nestled in a secluded valley stood our River Yurt. On arrival we were met by Heidi, who was so welcoming and lovely, even offering to help us with our luggage. Once she had shown us around and taught us... More

If you want/ need to have time out to enjoy the most a Amazing family quality time- then come here- we spent three nights in the meadow yurt and our last night in a tee-pee- both were excellent! The quality of the structures was first class- the toilets- although interesting were great- showers were generally cold but hey who needs... More

Thanks very much for your review. We’re very glad you enjoyed your stay. Lots of families who stay with us say how much they appreciate being away from electricity and how they can share a closer family time than when all the gadgets are around (...and here I am, sitting at the computer!!) But if you do need electricity then... More

This place was amazing - everything you need for an adventure in the middle of nowhere! We were fortunate enough to have clear weather and be able to cook and eat in the stars. Thanks very much for your review (...and sorry for taking so long to respond!) Yes, the Forest tipi is a bit of a walk, not the easiest tipi to get to, but we do love the location in the oak woods. We’re very glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you can come back some time. More

Stayed in a Tipi for a couple of nights in October. Although the Welsh weather did not diminish it's reputation as constantly rainy, being out in the "wilderness" away from the stresses of modern life was a breath of fresh air. The owners were friendly, helpful, accomodating and flexible (we got a bit lost on the drive so arrived later... More
