Easy to find. Very friendly welcome and good facilities from ample parking to tea making. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend. Needs décor update but certainly value for money. En-suite very drab but functional and clean with good towels.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Maenllwyd. Gareth and Jane are lovely hosts and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Also lovely full Welsh breakfasts. Happy to recommend the guest house if you are visiting this lovely part of the country. I will be back next year for another fishing trip!

Easily found this b&b, which has ample parking at the back of the house and which is in a fantastic location. It's just outside the town center, so you're away from the noise of the pubs, yet it's a very short walk into the town centre, so you're close to the pubs, restaurants etc but not so close as to... This was a list minute booking, I wasn't expecting much. So what a lovely surprise on arrival. The owners were lovely and genuinely welcoming. We stayed in room 7 on the top floor which had character (a low beam which may have bothered somebody taller (my height 5ft 6)). I have never been able to sleep first night of staying... More

Couldn't have found a more delightful stopover in Mid Wales. After a big day of exploring Edward I's Irom Ring castles we rolled in to Machynlleth around 8:30pm. With warm, welcoming arms Nisha invited us in and settled us in room #1, overlooking the spacious backyard. The clean and spacious room included the comforts of home: a sitting area for... More

Having no idea what our arrival time would be, Gareth (owner) offered to stay up, which he indeed did. Our room was clean and very comfortable, the en-suite also very clean. Breakfast was rather large, to be honest, and the sausages got the better of me. We were en route elsewhere, but would have been more than happy to stay... More

Myself and my three children stayed in the family room for one night. It was very easy to find the pink coloured house on the main road into Machynlleth, just a short walk from the shops. We parked easily on the good sized car park. Upon arrival we received a friendly welcome and the manager offered to carry by bag... More

We stayed one night at the Maenllwyd Guest House. Our plan had been to spend a second night, if there was availability, to explore the area but one night was enough. Overall, the Guest House is tired and in need of upgrades. The décor is 70's and 80's, worn and dingy, the shower was cracked and the shower curtain needed... More

My friends and I have stayed here 2 years running & will continue to stay here when visiting the comedy festival every year. Gareth & Jane are warm, friendly and welcoming, making you feel like family. Nothing is too much trouble and Gareth even took the time to drive us into the village to avoid heavy rain! The rooms are... More

A group of us stayed here whilst mountain biking in the area. Great facilities, clean, comfortable and warm and a good breakfast too. Located just a short walk from places to eat out and local shops etc. Would definitely stay again on our next biking trip
