Use this pub regularly. Always welcoming, backed up by good home made food and decent beer. More choice of guest ales in summer due to greater visitor numbers I guess. A true local that is as welcoming to visitors as it is to locals. Having spent 15 years with the nearest pub 8 miles away, its a real treat to... More

Myself and 3 friends went to this pub/hotel for dinner and drinks whilst we were spending the weekend in Cemmaes and it was lovely! Rhys (sp?) the barman was amazing - really friendly and efficient! The locals were great as well, giving us some really good advice for the area. The food is good value - big portions and tasty.... More

The property proudly proclaims its history of serving travelers since the 17th century and it is living up to its tradition nicely. Its function as a community center means that supper there is the rural pub experience: once you figure out how to order and where to sit, relax: you will meet the people and have a good time of... Our youngest granddaughter came to visit for the first time after 3 years studying at uni. We booked her and her partner in at the Penrhos Arms as we don't have a spare room. Both of them said that it was the best B & B they had visited and they travel a lot. They went for a walk before... More

My family and I stopped for lunch here on the way to St Asaph. We were welcomed and were very surprised at such good value food. The food arrived quickly despite the pub being busy. My son loved the lovely chips. A real gem of a place, fantastic value for money and a lovely atmosphere.

Visited this venue on our way back from Lake Vyrnwy and had a starters and a main course. The food was very good value and filling. Well worth a stop. The formal restaurant looked nice and we presumed it was for the evening menu. Friendly and welcoming staff.

WOW!!! We stopped off here en route to mother in law's house. We both ordered the breakfast and it was amazing!! We will definitely be going back there again. Definitely worth stopping... More
