We (myself, partner and 16 month old son) have visited here a few times within the last 6 months whilst staying at our uncles caravan nearby. Our latest visit was 23/04/2015 and I think shows consistency. The food is all home made and delicious and the staff are very helpful!!! Well worth a visit!

We stayed in the exec suite that had a four poster bed..It was beautiful. The bathroom was spotless and brand new. The pub itself was great the food well priced and the evenings entertainment on saturday was amazing we had a good few drinks. Lovely friendly staff. We would reccomend this place for sure. Dawn was very welcoming. Although we... More

We were traveling back from Bala to Caerphilly and wanted to find a traditional Welsh Pub for our evening meal and could not have found better than the Penrhos Arms hotel. The staff were fantastic and despite overhearing some difficult customers nothing was to much trouble. The food was amazing, I had Faggots, chips and vegetables and was chuffed when... More

Having had bad service at the White Lion in Mach earlier in the day, we booked a table for dinner and it was spot on. The range of meals, beers and great service from Carol all went towards having a great family meal out. Thanks again and we will be back !

Spur of the moment visit on Easter Sunday. Staff was friendly & professional, good range of drafts (we sampled Cwrw Glyndwr) and tasty food. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended! A shining example of excellent customer service and good value for money - we need more places like this to promote tourism in Wales!!!

Stayed for two nights in a beautiful room with four poster bed, very clean and comfortable. All the staff were very warm and friendly, made us feel very welcome. Ate in the restaurant, the food was good, wholesome and very filling! Good variety on the menu and specials board, and a fair price for drinks in the bar. Will definitely... More

We stopped at the Penrhyn Arms during a tedious journey on the A470. It was four O'clock, too late for lunch, too early for dinner, or so we thought, but we discovered that The Penrhyn Arms serves food all day. We were soon sitting down by a log fire (lit especially for us) tucking into a fabulous meal complete with... More

Two day stay this week.Monday till Wednesday. Enjoyed this visit. Top of range pub food. Staff first class and room very comfortable .All very clean. Bath room ok but two difficult steps if not too nimble. They may have a better one, worth the enquiry. Transport or very good walking shoes a must. Some of the most beautiful country close... More

We visited the pub twice during our holiday and both times the people were very friendly and welcoming, we even had the owners dog come and sit with us for a bit. There was a lovely open fire and the food was great, all cleared plates from us, and it was well priced. We will definately visit again.

Having travelled to this part of the country for quite a few years with a group of friends, I was looking for a good spot for a few ales, good crack and a comfy bed to rest our weary bones after a rigorous day in the beautiful Welsh countryside. What a find! The Penrhos was recommended to me and I... More
