Wow. What to say?! Stayed via Living Social with an upgrade here for one night, and our only regret is that it wasn't more. Where to start... FIrstly, the hotel itself was incredibly nice. Our room was stunning (barring an unfortunate stain on the sheets, but it says a lot that when we spotted it, we weren't fazed because of... More

My partner and I stayed here this week for a three night stay in a Premier Lakeview room. Good points.....the room was lovely and the housekeeping staff and waiting on staff were always pleasant. It is definitely the location and views that sell this establishment. However we were disappointed by a number of issues. Firstly, as vegetarians the breakfast was... More

For my partners 30th I wanted to book up a weekend away and came across lake vyrnwy on a living social deal. We stayed on 12th July. An absolutely stunning location looking over the lake. The room was large and the bathroom great which had a separate bath and shower cubicle. We went for a garden view which was nice... More

Arrived rather early and rooms were not quite ready so feeling hungry decided to have a light lunch in the Tower Tavern next to the hotel. I cannot understand why one reviewer has said you can't eat anywhere else unless you travel 40 mins when there is a pub serving reasonably priced food attached to the hotel. It even has... More

We stayed at Lake Vyrnwy on the 13th and 14th July, taking advantage of a two night deal. The journey to the hotel was interesting as we had not realised how narrow some of the roads can be, but you are rewarded with the most spectacular countryside and amazing views of Lake Vyrnwy from the hotel. It would be fair... More

Reviews which require editing or responding to manger's replies/comments need to be removed and resubmitted with the necessary editions or updates. I have removed my previous post, re-edited and resubmitted this post We dined in the restaurant at the beginning of July. The decor in the bar is shabby and... More

Lovely views over Lake Vyrnwy on nice clear days from the window tables in the restaurant and lounge. There may even be an aeriel dislay from the RAF as fast jets fly over! Food was enjoyable and included a high proportion of excellent local produce beautifully cooked and presented. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Lake Vyrnwy is a stunning setting and the view from the hotel is amazing - and we had high hopes that afternoon tea would add to the experience. We were massively disappointed. Firstly, rather than a selection of sandwiches, they only offer you one choice each. When the sandwiches first arrived, they were not what we ordered. When they were... More

Four of us stayed in the hotel 1 - 4 July and on July 2 we were seated at the table next to Kimmykins00' party. We were treated to a 30 minute diatribe of complaints to the staff about the seating arrangements that are described at length in the review. I can understand the disappointment at not being given a... More
