Went to the red lion for a family birthday celebration. Beautiful place, staff all incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was incredible every meal looked amazing and the portion sizes were perfect! I had the chicken supreme which was absolutely delicious! Food was so good we couldn't resist sampling the dessert as well and their cheesecake is to die for!... More

After arriving from a brisk walk in the beautiful countryside, little were we to know of the atrocity that awaited us in the red lion. We were asked to sit and wait with drinks at the bar so they could get our table ready, which seemed to us like a reasonable request. I should add here that we booked a... More

We often venture out for food on the weekend and a few weekends ago we had gone to Llangorse Lake. After a lovely day we were very peckish and passed the Red Lion! We went to the bar and asked for a table, the barmaid said that as we hadn't booked there would be a slight wait due to being... More

We were staying at the Lakeside Caravan park and decided to eat here as a treat. We booked a table which was a good idea on such a busy day. We were eating early and were the only table upstairs for about half an hour, while downstairs was busy. The staff were very nice, but too busy! I had to... More

Having spent a couple of nights at Llangorse Lake, we called in the off chance in for lunch on a bank holiday monday. The landlord was very helpful. We were quite a large group, but tables were sorted in no time. All the food was lovely. Good size portions, well presented with chips to die for. As pub food goes,... More

Took some very hungry friends to Sunday lunch, 2 humongous courses. The roast dinners where so colourful and so tasty I couldn't get enough, with a generous side dish with your five a day. A warming home made apple crumble for pudding which added the cherry on the cake, it finished me off ready to go home and knap. Great... More

Stopped at the Red Lion on an unplanned drive to Brecon, was more than pleased with the service we received as we hadn't booked and required a high chair for our 2 year old the staff couldn't be more accommodating, beautiful settings and surroundings, and the food was top notch and more than ample portions, look forward to our next... Went here for Sunday lunch last weekend, and the visit was first class from beginning to end. Simply a delight. A great setting, and a lovely building. Great outdoor areas and a cool modern interior. A pub with it's own micro-brewery on site... What's not to like ... The staff were superb, friendly efficient and coping with a very hot... More

We stopped here on our way back home and they squeezed us in for lunch which we were very thankfull for as they were busy. A beautiful place, good food, great service. Prices very resonable too. A friendly team. Definatly worth a visit if your passing or going to the lake etc.
