Nice rooms in the converted stables, a warm welcome and good pub grub in the traditional Inn. Helen the landlady is very friendly and helpful and keeps a very good pint of ale! Good choice at breakfast.

Thanks to justin Helen and Ieuan for making our 3 day break a wonderful stay. the 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the lovely quiet spacious rooms, the cooked to perfection breakfasts (cooked to order a rarity these days!) and great restaurant food plus of course good beer. Everyone at the hotel was welcoming and friendly and it felt like home... More

Sometimes pub accommodation turns out disappointing, and in particular rooms can be shabby with main emphasis on the bar and restaurant. Not at the G&D. The accommodation block is a modern well-appointed barn-type conversion which is a separate wing outside to the rear. You have a sense of independence. Specification was high quality and perfect to me as a walker... More

After a wonderful day of cycling, my husband and I pulled up to this pub, which was to be our accommodation for the night, I was a little disappointed. That feeling however didn't last long as we were shown to a separate building which was a converted stables. We stayed in the room 'The Hayloft' and it was lovely. It... More

We stayed for 1 night for the Knighton Festival. We were in the centre of it all. The rooms in the converted stable block are gorgeous and were very clean. The pub itself is a lovely town centre pub with amusing customers.|The food both for evening meal and breakfast was homecooked and delicious. It was very busy but as we... More

The George & Dragon is not your average B&B, it seems almost like a holiday rental with the benfits of Breakfast. I say this as the rooms are detached from the pub in converted stables to the rear. Its nice to be able to come and go as you please without the worries of disturbing the owners. The rooms are... More

After doing the first stage of Glyndwr's Way from Knighton to Felindre we returned to Knighton to stay at this inn. The accommodation at the rear seemed to be fairly newly developed and was really very well planned. It was clean and well decorated. Breakfast the following morning was freshly cooked and very good.

Great place to stay just off the route, My room was comfortable and modern, being in a converted stable block it was also quiet. I had breakfast and evening meal in the pub both of which were good and great value. I felt very welcome and the pub has a good atmosphere, I highly recommend it.

I was with two friends walking Offa's Dyke and we stayed here on the last night of our walk. Helen was an extremely friendly host and we were able to have a pint even though the pub was yet to open! The rooms are in a converted stable block across a courtyard at the back of the pub, so no... More

I visited my son and stayed here in Justin and Helen's hotel. I was a bit apprehensive being on my own but boy did I get a great welcome from all. My hosts invited me into the bar and everyone was chatting asking about me and my life in Essex (they watch Towie lol) I really love this place and... More
