Stayed here with a friend after walking Offa's Dyke, friendly family run pub and accomadation, good size rooms with verything you need. Busy evening in pub but the host still took the time to come over and chat with us. Food was excellent, and breakfast set us up for the next days walking.

I stayed at the George and Dragon after walking what is perhaps the toughest stretch of the Offa's Dyke Path, the famous switchback section from Brompton Crossroads to Knighton. Having looked forward to arriving at the accommodation, on what had been a wet and windy day, I must confess to being somewhat underwhelmed by the lukewarm reception from the young... More

I stayed here with a friend whilst walking Offa's Dyke. The pub was very busy when we arrived being a Saturday night, but the accommodation is in an annexe at the back so it was very quiet and well appointed. The food was lovely - fish and chips, served on a plate, rather than a trendy slate, just what was... More

Stayed one night whilst walking from Kington through to Brompton Crossroads. The room was very comfortable with tea/coffee facilities, tv, although the shower could have been a little more powerful. We eat in the lounge and had a delicious meal with great service and a good chat with a few of the friendly locals - Dog made to feel at... More

First visit to Wales and I was not disappointed with this accommodation. Everything about it was superb. Cosy room, fabulous food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place and would have no doubts about going back if we returned to the area. Brilliant :)

Four of us stayed here for one night. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were good and situated in above a converted stable behind the pub. Dinner was good pub standard and breakfast was similar. I was pleasantly surprised

This was our second visit to the George and Dragon, last year having walked from Chepstow to Knighton. Once again it didn't disappoint, The bedroom, in the converted barn, was so comfortable and the clean smell of freshly laundered sheets hit you as soon as you opened the door. The pub is a drinker's pub but selling a high standard... More

We stayed here as part of Offa's Dyke Trail. The rooms are in a beautifully converted barn and really well decorated with lots of attention to detail. Small bathroom but contains everything you need. Really comfy bed. Ate here as well - we had burgers which were really nice. Breakfast was fine, although my other half got his sausages after... More
