This was our second visit to the George and Dragon, last year having walked from Chepstow to Knighton. Once again it didn't disappoint, The bedroom, in the converted barn, was so comfortable and the clean smell of freshly laundered sheets hit you as soon as you opened the door. The pub is a drinker's pub but selling a high standard... More

We stayed here as part of Offa's Dyke Trail. The rooms are in a beautifully converted barn and really well decorated with lots of attention to detail. Small bathroom but contains everything you need. Really comfy bed. Ate here as well - we had burgers which were really nice. Breakfast was fine, although my other half got his sausages after... More

My husband, myself and our 14 year old son stayed in a family room named the 'Coachmans' for two nights ( Friday and Saturday). Our room was situated upstairs in a pretty converted barn behind the lovely old pub.The room was spacious, the beds very comfortable and a good ensuite bathroom. The family who own the pub are helpful and really... More

5 of us stayed overnight as we continued our Offas Dyke walk. Accommodation was clean and comfortable albeit the rooms are on the small side. Also being part of a pub you need to accept that there may be noise and car parking limited. On the food side the evening meal was well prepared and breakfast was good although coffee... More

We had a nice stay in this pub. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful and the food was really nice. Live guitar player and singer as we visited the pub. Breakfast in the morning also good. Right on the Offa's Dyke path.

Good beer, good food and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price make this an excellent choice for anyone walking Offas Dyke. I recommend it and believe me I'm fussy. Landlord and all staff very agreeable.

Stayed here on the penultimate stage of our Offa's Dyke path walk part 1 - the route passes the front door. Landlady very welcoming, and the room the best of the week. Landlord also welcoming and very knowledgeable about walking in the area. Beer and wine good, and wide choice on the Menu. Best meal of the week - and... More

The room itself was lovely with a modern feel (and a decent mug for making tea/coffee). Unfortunately the shower lacked power which was a bit disappointing after a day’s walking. Couldn’t get Wi-Fi in the rooms and still very weak in the pub. I felt that they cut corners at breakfast using cheap ingredients and instant coffee. (For food I... More

Nice rooms in the converted stables, a warm welcome and good pub grub in the traditional Inn. Helen the landlady is very friendly and helpful and keeps a very good pint of ale! Good choice at breakfast.
