Before even entering the building you know you are somewhere completely magical and very special. Nick has created the most impressive garden with some amazing wild spaces and manicured details. Huge Gunnera frame tranquil ponds, stuffed boarders full of fragrance and colour and inspirational sculptures. The aesthetic delights continue inside with more wonderful art pieces and paintings. The dining room... More

Well here we are again!! We promised ourselves that we would go back to The Cors after our forst visit last year. and....you know how the second time you do something or go somewhere....it`s not as good as the first time!!! Wrong !! Wrong!!! It was equally brilliant the second time. Garden was greener in the summer months and unreal.... More

Staying at Nick's beautifully atmospheric, welcoming hotel and restaurant was a real treat. The most charming and attentive host made us feel relaxed and at home the minute we arrived with a pot of tea on the terrace surrounded by his exotic , tropical and inspirational gardens. The dining rooms are intimate and quirky, bedroom was spacious with a great... More

Returned to The Cors for the second time last Saturday having enjoyed a wonderful evening there last year. Hard to believe, but our second visit was even better than the first. Spectacular setting, drinks on the lovely terrace, attentive service, beautiful dining room and a relaxed ambience. Everyone on our table of nine agreed the food was spectacular - with... More

This was like going to stay with a friend who is a great cook! Nick is so welcoming but not intrusive. Rooms were very comfortable with en suite, TV, free wifi and even a bottle of water which most places would have charged you for. Pre dinner drinks enjoyed in the garden with the other guests and delicious dinner in... More

Found this restaurant because of TA and we are SO glad we did! A group of five of us staying at a cottage in the village we found - sadly - that the standard of pubs and restaurants was pretty poor; lots of bog standard food and pubs with yards overlooking car parks - I suppose we are used to... This restaurant is truly amazing. From the moment you turn across the narrow bridge, the experience just consumes you! The gardens are loved and a delight; the service is quiet and unassuming but very efficient. The food....I haven't enough words to describe the excellence of the food! Every mouthful was a delight. The fillet steak was like no other I've... More

Try this for something different. Food is amazing. Place is different but very clean considering the hundreds of items. Try the lamb and finish with stick toffee pudding (not your usual and not as sickly as most).

Fabulous and charmful place, with excellent food, service and tranquility. Nick is a wonderful host and we felt at home immediately. Anyone wanting something different from chain hotels would love this "shabby chic" place to chill out and experience excellent food and a cosy atmosphere. We could see why it's in the Good Food Guide too! Many thanks Nick; we'd... More

Delicious food, excellent host, room with a view. This was our second visit to the Cors and as before the restaurant was full of interesting characters. The menu is short but varied and the food is beautifully cooked by owner Nick. Breakfast was just as tasty. Well worth a visit.
