We didn't actually stay at the pub as we had already booked elsewhere but ate at this pub for both our nights that we stayed in Wales for an activity weekend ! Sandra & Sion made our group of 9 ladies, most welcome from the moment we walked through the door and went way beyond excellent customer service to make... More

Stayed for just one night and the reviews on this one were much better than my other option in Carmarthen itself. I just wanted an overnight stay but you get a great welcome and a nice stay in a double room with ensuite and a great breakfast for an extremely good price. Well worth taking a trip up the valley... Stayed at the Inn for 3 nights in mid September. Bett is a wonderful host and chef, and John (Sion, Shawn, Shaugn) is the classic friendly Bar host. He was a gold mine of local Beer and Spirits information. We witnessed a wonderful Welsh music/comedy event at the Pub on Friday night. What a great night to remember. Locals were... More

We wish to put on record that we stayed three nights here in October and found every-one very friendly and welcoming (even the black cat belonging to one of the locals) and that nothing was too much trouble. Our thanks for our oustanding stay, despite the weather, go to all. Especially Bet and Shaugn, both of who looked after us... More

This is a great B and B in off-the-beaten-track Wales. Betty is a terrific cook, who prepares excellent breakfasts and evening meals upon request. Sion, who tends bar, has a lively personality and creates a warm atmosphere in which guests are provided the opportunity to mix and mingle with locals. Much recommended. The B and B is on the main... Lovely atmosphere where locals and guests are all treated extremely well, it seems that most guests are regulars, some on holiday and some on business. The character building and the friendly staff create a very warm welcome and totally relaxing environment, and the prices are sensible. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would love to plan a return trip.
