I visited this Hotel as part of a short notice work trip - I had no pre-conceptions on arrival. Friendly staff - warm welcome. The room was spacious, clean and warm. Spotless bathroom -bath always a bonus. Very comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. Quality of food - very good indeed - and a nice pint of Felinfoel bitter.... More

Came here for lunch last week after visiting our friends in Pembroke. A lovely, old, charming hotel with wonderful local ales and a cracking fire place. Our tapas starters were fantastic and were great to share. My turkey dinner was beautifully cooked- moist and tender- together with a fantastic selection of winter veg! My wife had the seabass and it... More

The first thing you notice going into the lounge in the King's Arms is how incredibly, uncomfortably bright the lights are. There is now only one menu for the bar and the restaurant instead of two, which is good. However there have been some changes which we are not so happy with. You now are expected to pay extra for... From Shirley Wheeler, proprietor of the Old Kings Arms Hotel It was with sadness that I read this review. I had deliberated long and hard over a period of time before changing the menu and was aware that the change would not please everyone however numerous positive comments have been received. Regarding the vegetables so many were returned unused resulting... More

Stayed for 1 night D, B and B. All staff very friendly. Good dinner and breakfast. Spacious room and very comfortable. Our only problem was a lot of workers staying there that left for work from 6.30am onwards so quite noisey.

Stayed here for a couple of nights with a group of friends. The rooms were perfectly decent, if a little "tired", but the food more than made up for it. The breakfast was excellent, all freshly cooked - not reheated. They did good scrambled eggs which is my experience is a rarity, as they tend to end up pretty solid,... More

We stayed here for three nights. We enjoyed the ambience and the lovely Welsh touches especially in the restaurant. The food as mentioned was excellent, breakfast had a good selection, the full breakfast was great. The orange juice tasted "real" not orange squash. The evening meals we had seemed expensive until the food arrived and there was more than enough... More

I arrived at this hotel at 12.45 am on the 9/8 having been on ferry from Ireland. When I made the booking I had explained that we would be late checking in and was told that this was no problem. Whilst still on the ferry my husband received a phone call asking us why we were not in reception as... More

We arrived in early afternoon and were promptly directed to our room. We were instantly impressed by the atmosphere and very well preserved old style design. However, there was no lift, only stairs, and no help was offered to bring our luggage up to the room on the second floor. Our room was nice and comfy, the windows had charming... More

I took my wife on a business trip and we were warmly welcomed. There was no problem accommodating us both despite giving no warning that I would be accompanied. The rooms are larger than we expected well equipped free wifi warm and clean. Bathroom newly refurbished and clean. We had a lovely meal with clients and after dinner drinks. Our... More
