We have just been for cream teas at Slebech Park. What a beautiful building. Unfortunately due to being so quiet we had to book in advance for scones and didn't even get a chance to alter our choices when we got there. The scones (2 each) were beautifully made and warm, with lashings of jam and clotted cream, but I... More

Set in the countryside this is a rural retreat, beautiful grounds overlooking the estuary, walks - just enough to interest, gardens and likely only to improve given in its setting with the work being done. A relatively exclusive place, you will be pleased with the customer service, the staff being welcoming and attentive. The room we had was a delight... More

It started off with the longest drive ever from the road to the hotel, and led us to a haven of peace. Herds of swans (!) on the estuary, bunnies in the field on our walk after dinner, an evocative ruined church, the hotel grounds were a delight. I had chosen this place so that we could simply step outside... More

The room was stunning, well appointed with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious- the Welsh breakfast of lava bread and cockles particularly so. The service could be improved with very slow surly waiting staff who forgot orders and disappeared! If that could be addressed it would be the most amazing place as the views are also stunning!

We went to Slebech Park for lunch while on holiday in Fishguard. The meal was excellent, and to a very high standard. The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them and the added extra of a beautiful view of the lake while we were dining made our visit well worthwhile.

Actually I would say 4.5 out of 5 but worthy of a round up to 5.... This was a peaceful place to stay with good quality rooms and friendly staff. The small room we had booked was upgraded which proved very helpful travelling with a little one. We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast. The cooked estate breakfast was... More

Chosen because it was pet friendly which turned out to be less the case. Fortunately we took our cocker spaniel's own bed as that provided was too small. One senses that the hotel must have had some bad experiences in offering pet accommodation. Some understandable restrictions re the terrace and the restaurant but encouragement to leave her in our car... More

Thank you for your visit and for your review. We are a very dog friendly hotel, indeed we are very popular with our guests and their important 4 legged family members. Very quiet and relaxing location with lovely grounds and view of the estuary but too many things are not good enough for a 5 star experience. There is no bar in the hotel !!! We found it very strange that we could not get a drink after the restaurant closed at 9.30pm. Room service carried a £4.50 charge. There are no... More

Thank you for your visit to us at the Estate. I am afraid this will be a defensive response as I find this review particular galling. *We do not and never have advertised ourselves as a 5 star hotel, indeed the cost implications would be substantially higher that the exceptional value that you and your guest enjoyed. Your upgrade was... More
