Planned a 10 mile walk which ended up at this lovely pub, we weren't disappointed! Such a nice welcome from the gentleman who worked there and outstanding service from the barlady named Faye, she went above and beyond with customer service - always with a genuine smile. Every guest was treated the same and some even offered a chance to... More

We stopped here on the way back from somerset. Lots of history to the pub. Great choice of food, vegan, vegetarian and meat. We had vegan and it was delicious, prices are good too. Lovely friendly staff.

We were a group of 12 females staying on Saturday 7th March 2015, we arrived to a warm welcome, bar staff were fab & friendly & Jeoff was entertaining lol. We ordered our meals from a good variety menu & the food was lovely. After our meals we ventured up the road to the cemetery, a little dubious at first... More

Stayed here in November food brilliant atmosphere brilliant staff brilliant rooms clean but oh so dated like something from 1978 bathrooms awful green plastic. Carpet clean but so badly stained showing every mark. For Gods sake your reputation makes you so busy please do your bedrooms up its tacky in them

Arrived on a wet and miserable Sunday, but the open fire was lovely and a warm welcome from staff. Really interesting to see the hanging noose on the way to the ladies, and the kids loved the history , particularly as Joey Essex had stayed there!! Nice food, good value for money, well worth a trip. Will come again.

It does not matter how many times I visit the Skirrid I fall in love with the place over and over again. As Wales's oldest Inn it really is a must to stop over The Inn is atmospheric, the staff are friendly and Geoff is a superb landlord. The food is outstanding so you won't be disappointed. Is it haunted?... More

We went to the Skirrid Inn for my sisters birthday meal. The building itself from the outside is beautiful. Upon entering the bar area we were greated by the site of a roaring open fire and a lovely warm welcome from the staff!! The food was good traditional pub grub, with a very tasty desert menu!! We were invited to... More

Me and my partner stayed at the skirrid for 1 night and it has been the most welcoming stay we've ever had. We've travelled and stayed in many different places but we've never been made to feel as welcome anywhere else. Geoff and Sharon are excellent hosts and really added a lot to our stay at the skirrid so thankyou... More
