I had to take few moments to write a review on Monfa guest house and the owners Shaun and Paula and not forgetting young Brandon and Shaun's mum and dad. Brilliant doesn't quite do this place justice. If you are looking for ultra modern and sparkly bathrooms this may not be for you however if you are looking for nice... More

This was our first trip away together plus our first time venturing to this part of Wales. Shaun's Dad helped us with where to park, and then Paula showed us to our room and turned the heating on for me to have a shower! Paula and Shaun were great with helping us navigate around the area and with destinations to... More

Had an excellent weekend stay with Paula and Shaun, in very comfortable and quiet bedroom, which abled us to have a great nights sleep. A delicious breakfast awaited us and set us us up for the day ahead. We look forward to our next visit, and would not hesitate to recommend friends and family to stay here.

This was my first stay here after completing the bike ride from Wolverhampton. Some friends and family stayed here after completing the ride last year and they were very impressed. The guest house is highly recommended, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, en-suites are great and the staff who run the guest house are extremely friendly. The highlight of the... More

I stayed at Monfa for only one night (during a motorbike trip), however it was great. A nice and clean room for sleeping with enough space and a superb breakfast at the next morning (each guest gets his own individually sized french-press with fresh coffee, amazing idea! :) ) Paula and Shaun, who run the guest house, are very, very... I arrived at Monfa on my mountain bike having spent 7 days riding across the moors and forests of Shropshire and Mid Wales. I was immediately impressed with the warm and friendly welcome by the owners Shaun & Paula. I had booked a single room but was very pleased to find that I had been upgraded to a (very comfortable)... Monfa has a great location. Paula and Shaun provide great hospitality. I had an unbroken nights sleep in a comfy bed and woke to a tasty full cooked breakfast that set me up for a days work. I will hopefully be back for a proper break with the family soon. Thank you again, Alan Thompson
