We were on a single overnight to look at the town and see the railway, this guest house was well suited to our needs being right at the western edge of the town centre, right next to the main line station, five minites walk from the promenade in one direction and ten minutes from the narrow guage railway in the... I recently stayed at Preswylfa Guest Home and found it to be a a little gem in the heart of Tywyn. It has a real 'home from home' feeling and Jane & Laurence are the ideal hosts. Even though the property is situated in a key location it's one of the quietest places I've stayed in. The accommodation is presented... More

Stay here for one night at very short notice. Very welcoming and brilliant service. Clean and comfortable and very modern, breakfast was lovely to, couldn't asked for a better service, definitely recommend and also close to the train station

Went here on a trip to visit friends and take a trip on the Talyllyn steam railway. I was shown my room, which was well furnished, incredibly clean and comfortable, and had a good selection of complimentary drinks. The en-suite bathroom was great, and the shower was properly powerful - too many hotel/b&b showers are a bit pitiful - not... More

Thank you for this review and we are glad you had a good time. Laverbread will definitely be on the breakfast specials list for next year thanks for the suggestion. More

We highly recommend Jane and Lawrence's wonderful b&b. Airy, spotlessly clean and very comfortable bedroom with lovely toiletries. Delicious breakfast, with lots of choice. Best of all, a warm, friendly welcome that's second to none. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back very soon.

A "Walkers Welcome" designated B&B and certainly deserving of it. Jane and Lawrence are very hospitable hosts and do all they can to cater for your every need. The place was beautifully clean, tidy and welcoming throughout and breakfast ticking all the boxes as well. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Always a slight worry when looking for accommodation for our family (including a rowdy 4 year old) but our stay at Preswylfa was excellent. Highly recommended while visiting the area of Wales. Great location within Tywyn and all local amenities.

Lawrence & Jane aught to be used in the OED under the definition of Customer Service, cannot fault them. They're always bending over backwards to help you out whether it's squeezing you in or finding you something to do on a rainy day. Bonus: Jane's cake making skills are superb (remember to order in advance!).

First visit this year, while volunteering on the Talyllyn Railway. Comfortable, quality B&B in a convenient location. Wide choice (including lots of vegetarian options) for breakfast. Lawrence and Jane have upgraded the accommodation for this season. I did not book an evening meal this time, but, from previous visits, I can recommend Jane's cooking. A good place to stay.

Beautiful double bedroom with views over the countryside and full size shower, great breakfast to suit both our tastes. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and happy to help with information of where to go etc. Will be staying again.
