We have just returned from a 2 night break. Gavin the host was welcoming and pleasant. When told we were to have the Suite room I was very excited but that excitement was short lived. The room was 'tired' and in need of a deep clean it just lacked the finesse I expected from a Boutique hotel. The 'wet room/toilet'... More

This is our fourth visit to this hotel. It was meant to be a special ocassion for my 65th birthday, booked and paid for by my partner. We arrived on the Friday late afternoon and where shown to our requested room by Chris the co owner After relaxing after our journey we prepared to go out for our evening meal I... More

I felt I must write a review after reading a few, in my opion, very harsh and overly negative comments. We have stayed in the manorhaus on numerous occasions over the past few years (even choosing it for our engagement location) and have had the opportunity to stay in a few different rooms here (All gorgeous and all unique). We... More

This is (obviously) a subjective review, but after a one night stay at the Manorhaus we wouldn't return. The hotel doesn't seem to live up to its five star or boutique rating. If Boutique means to you luxurious, welcoming, relaxing, then the Manorhaus felt more cramped, unfriendly and in need of some basic up-keep and attention to detail (especially to... More

I stayed here as a lone traveller at the beginning of December in 2012 (but Trip advisor won't let me go back that far, so it probably says Jan 2013 on the heading) and although it's taken me a year to get round to writing a review, I was remembering what a fantastic stay I had and thought others should... We have just stayed at this hotel & had a great weekend. Ruthin is lovely and we also went further afield and visited some great places. We were greeted by a young lady who helped with our luggage from the car to reception ... very pleasant and chatty. Due to our rooms not being ready until 3pm and we were... More

First but not our last visit to this beautiful little hotel. Everything about the place is really top quality. Great welcome from Chris who is very professional (and very busy) Only minor issue but goes to confirm my views on this place is that the restaurant already fully booked fir dinner before we checked in. BOOK prior arrival it looks... More

We stayed for our anniversary and had a very pleasant stay. We were greeted in a professional manner and the free car parking permit was greatly appreciated. The room was compact but well equipped and the food at dinner and breakfast was well prepared and served.
