Great little hotel, definitely worth a visit. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is spotless and the facilities are fab. Made full use of the Sauna, Steam room and the private cinema. Food served is superb. Ruthin is a quiet village but there are plenty of walks in and around for all abilities. Would definitely go back

My fiancé and I booked a last minute break and stayed at the Manorhaus for two nights this weekend. We stayed in oriel 6, the room was lovely and cosy. Decorated well, spotlessly clean and had a lovely shower wet room. The bed was very comfortable too. The rest of the hotel was beautiful also, quirky and elegant. We made... More

We stayed here on business back in the Spring and loved every minute of our visit. This review is long overdue as we were so impressed with the service and attention to detail we received. The Manorhaus is certainly very different for Wales and this area which is very traditional in many ways and it could just miss, but instead... More

We stayed for one night. A little more expensive than other small hotels in the area but well worth the extra. It is located in the centre of a historic market town which is well worth visiting as it has kept many old buildings, some of the Tudor period. We were given a very warm and friendly welcome by Gavin... More

On a recent visit to Wales we stayed at five properties. Two were outstanding. I have already reviewed one, the MH is the other one. The hotel is decorated to perfection with amazing color schemes, artwork, and furnishings. Our room was on the top floor with a twin bed configuration. We were thrilled that each bed had a good reading... More

Very accommodating, parking is a little ways away but only 3 min walk. Location is great, next to a few pubs. Breakfast was good, but nothing special. The hotel only service bottled beer but the castle pub is just a short walk.

We stayed at the Manorhaus for a wedding. We found on arrival that we were given a very good welcome and Chris was warm and friendly. The service was impeccable at breakfast and the food was excellent. The bed was very comfortable with a good shower. We would have liked to have tried the restaurant which has a good reputation... Stayed for two nights as my partner, myself and my parents who also stayed at MH as it was my brothers wedding on the Saturday, we had oriel 8, we loved the room. It was decorated really nicely. The wet room was brilliant, and the shower was superb!! There was plenty of tea and coffee on offer, not something you... More

I booked us a night for our 18th wedding anniversary - it was perfect. From the moment we arrived we were spoiled. The room (a suite) was beautifully done - all you would expect in a modern hotel, creatively fitted into the period room without detracting from it Cocktails and canapes in the lounge before our dinner in the conservatory... Chris and Gavin always welcome you with a smile, also are very knowledgeable regarding places of interest in North Wales. We have stopped in two different suites on the two occasions we have been, both the rooms are very clean and well kept, we found we settled in and felt at home straight away.
