Dreadfully noisy pub next door with loud music until 1 am on Saturday night - could not sleep. Breakfast pretty poor for the price of the hotel. Not much choice and sausages etc all poor quality. Decor is dated. Hotel was generally clean though. more

We booked our room through late rooms at a good price. On arrival we discovered the hotel wasn't expecting us until the following night, however this wasn't a problem and were promptly booked in. Very nice room apart from the drafty broken window in the bathroom (wouldn't like to have to use the loo in winter!). Food. Um. Starter of deep fried goats cheese was barely warm. They hadn't cooked the dessert (baked alaska) either. One of the waiter's shouting down his mobile phone most of the evening didn't add to the ambience either.... more
