This is by far one of the best B&Bs I have stayed in. Dave and Marilyn are very welcoming and have a wondering home. The beds are very comfortable and the your experience is topped by a delicious breakfast from homemade and locally sourced produce that tastes devine. If you are planning to stay near Ruthin, this is the place... more

We travelled to Ruthin for a wedding and rather than stay in a hotel, booked this wonderful cottage B&B. A little challenging to find but absolutely beautiful and run by a lovely couple who welcomed us warmly. The room was wonderful with fabulous views and breakfast superb. It was superior to the room that a friend stayed in in Ruthin!... more

Once you have found this cottage (using the good directions proivided by the owners) you will find a warm welcome and a really comfortable room waiting for you. En-suite rooms have digital tv, and luxury bedding and towels. There is a 'communal' Mac, which the owners allow guests to use. The breakfasts are fabulous, and the bread (Toast) is home... more

Fabulous location, charming property and set up thoughtfully - in all it catered very well for our needs. Most places fall short of our expectations - this B&B certainly did not. And we are not so easy to please! No reservations about recommending Plas Efenechtyd, and its hosts, to our friends. more

Really enjoyed our stay with Dave & Marilyn. They made us feel at home & were happy to get up earlier than normal on Sunday to get (their excellent) breakfast ready for our early start. We'll definitely stay with them again next time we're in the area. more

This superb little gem is ideally situated for exploring Ruthin (only 2 miles away) or getting out into the beautiful welsh countryside. The B&B is ultra comfortable, the hospitality warm and welcoming, and the breakfast tasty, locally sourced and not greasy(so far the only grease-free breaky i have found at a B&B). I have now stayed here every month for... more

We would highly recommend a stay at this lovely B&B. Our hosts offered us a really warm welcome - the breakfast was delicious with locally sourced produce and home made bread that was difficult to resist! Our room was lovely with a huge bed - although the house was very old the décor was really stylish and quite modern. more

We originally just wanted to stay for one night, but couldnn't leave this lovely place and stayed longer. A wonderful house situated in a lovely area with great rooms make your stay a relaxing holiday. But what makes this place really special are the great hosts who are friendly, helpful and happy to share their great knowledge of the area... more

Tucked away in the countryside surrounding Ruthin, this B&B offers fantastic views and peaceful refuge. The friendly reception continued throughout our stay and we felt at home. The breakfast was excellent and the fishcakes provided a nice thoughtful alternative to the bacon & eggs convention. The hens provide the eggs too! There is a computer to use which is a... more
