Seven of us had Sunday lunch here on the first Sunday in January. The food was lovely, served on piping hot plates which I love, and a good choice given the time of year when very often places either don't open or serve a limited menu. The only critism I would have is that the food does come served on... More

Live fairly locally so can't comment on hotel facilities but recently had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent as usual. Duck breast beautifully cooked and full of flavour and my husband had venison which was superb. Highly recommended.

I highly rate this establishment, it is clearly a small, family run business which allows it to appreciate all its customers, a refreshing change in comparison to many Travelodges /Holiday Inns. We encountered a vibrant atmosphere (during summer) with a mixture of locals and hotel residents and staff that were more than happy to chat and offer advice. Quality food... More

Excellent -made to feel really welcome !! Would recommend! We were staying in Bluebell cottage -just down the road & I decided to pop out for a pint -purely for medicinal purposes!!! Well the pint I was given more than fitted the bill !! Nice surroundings & pleasant staff -so much so that I returned again before our week was... More

Booked a table for Sunday lunch about a week in advance, on booking informed that a member of the party followed a gluten free diet. No one seemed to know during our visit which dishes were suitable and had to constantly go and check with the chef - I thought allergen information should now be readily available. Disappointed considering they... More

We just ate here (group of 5), and obviously many locals do so too. It's a very well run pub with a pleasant restaurant attached. The menu is straightforward with sufficient choice for most people. Prices quite reasonable for the quality provided.

I have now stayed at the Anchorage twice, on both occasions for one night only (a Saturday), having come across it as a suitable place for an evening meal on an earlier visit to Anglesey. The place does have a little bit of an old fashioned feel, as others have said, but that doesn't bother me. The rooms are comfortable... More

Such a lovely friendly and welcoming hotel.Excellent bar meals at reasonable prices, almost too much on the plate for one person. The restaurant is superb, good food, service and excellent wines.I cannot understand how the place was not packed.Decor is a bit dated, but the friendliness and quality of food makes up for that.

This place has great food, staff and views. The rooms appear to be a bit dated and the noise from the bar and kitchen if you are in the rooms above is horrendous. Spent the night once the noise of the bar had died down listening to mice running around in the ceiling. All of this could be addressed with... More

We had a brilliant meal here on Thursday evening. The service was great and the food excellent, good sized portions. We had Sea Bream and melon for starters, surf & turf (steak was cooked to perfection) and scallops & prawn St Jacques for main. My partner just about managed lemon meringue roulade for dessert. All served with a smile. Well... More
