Clean and comfortable, all the basics are there and the bar food was basic but generous portions. I'd go there again for a one night stopover. There is no lift though, and a warren of stairs/steps/coridoors so if you had mobility problems or, as we did, a heavy suitcase, it would be a problem.

I called here with my mum on July 30th as we were coming back to Holyhead for a couple of days. Mum has dementia now and is a long way away in Carlisle and I'm in Newcastle but it's nice to bring her back to meet old friends. As always the staff were courteous and polite and understanding. It's a... More

A strategically located hotel, ideal for those wanting a stopover before (or after) using the ferry or for holiday-makers at the island's several beaches. Room with pleasant décor and a modern en suite with shower (no bath). But the absence of a lift, the up-and-down of several flights of stairs and the failure of staff to offer assistance make most... Called to this hotel for lunch ,a sign said pick a table and then order at the bar , the table we picked was sitting on what should have been a green carpet but it looked like tar where you sit down ,there was the remains of a previous customers dinner including peas on the carpet, so we left and... Dear guest? I am a little confused in regards to your review for the Valley Hotel. As shown with you previous review which you had posted incorrectly against the Valley, I an also concerned that you have also put this review on by error. You state that the dirty carpet? Should have been a green colour but was black like... More

It is about what you would expect from a chain owned hotel. My room was rather small, but comfortable. The food was good. I don't really care for the way they have you order your food, and pay at the bar (whether or not you are staying - when I stay, I prefer to put everything on my room tab),... More

We were really hungry and debating lunch....Valley hotel was nearest, we knew the hotel so it was chosen. The restaurant was empty at the time, we ordered food and drinks; they didn't have the drink my partner wanted, the lady behind the bar recommended a drink, which was spot on. Anyway, the meal was most welcome and very tasty, lots of... More

The valley hotel is in a great location, very clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. There is a great menu with a lovely variety to choose from and there is also a kids menu. The food didn't disappoint, it was lovely. This place is currently undergoing refurbishment which so far is looking great and fresh. There is an... More

Upon a visit to Anglesey, my wife and I happened upon this place whilst walking our dog. We were allowed to have a few relaxing drinks in the beer garden, in the glorious weather, all the while being allowed to keep the dog with us. We were very happy to of been allowed to keep the dog with us and... More

I have visited the valley hotel on a few occasions now and feel very comfortable with the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff whenever I visit. The new dining room was a lovely surprise on my last visit with its table service. The food was fab, the waitress service was professional yet very friendly. A lovely affordable fine dining restaurant.
