Although SOME of the staff were nice (girl doing breakfasts really lovely) they got our food orders (for dinner) wrong twice - not good enough. I feel the staff in the bar are under pressure and one woman got a bit snappy with a relative which I did not appreciate. The food itself is reasonably priced and very nice. Would... More

8 months ago we booked for a 3 nights at The Valley(at fulll price) as we were travelling a good distance to a family wedding. On arriving we were shown to a tiny room at the back above industrial fans! and near kitchens. The acoustic impact was simply indescribable-as was the odours we may as well have had a tractor running in... room was like stepping back in time, soap dispenser empty, towel rail fell off wall as soon as touched, bath was repulsive, air-conditioning units went all night (management said they were turned off at midnight but this is not true). There was a disturbance in a nearby room and when my husband went down to reception to report found the... More

Having needed a stop-overnight, prior to an early morning ferry, I chose this place as it is only 4 miles and 7 minutes from the ferry terminal. We arrived too late for food, so didnt eat there. The room wasn't luxurious or 5 star, but was perfectly adequate and very clean, with nice bedding and towels. Pleasant enough staff and... More

Clean and comfortable, all the basics are there and the bar food was basic but generous portions. I'd go there again for a one night stopover. There is no lift though, and a warren of stairs/steps/coridoors so if you had mobility problems or, as we did, a heavy suitcase, it would be a problem.

I called here with my mum on July 30th as we were coming back to Holyhead for a couple of days. Mum has dementia now and is a long way away in Carlisle and I'm in Newcastle but it's nice to bring her back to meet old friends. As always the staff were courteous and polite and understanding. It's a... More

A strategically located hotel, ideal for those wanting a stopover before (or after) using the ferry or for holiday-makers at the island's several beaches. Room with pleasant décor and a modern en suite with shower (no bath). But the absence of a lift, the up-and-down of several flights of stairs and the failure of staff to offer assistance make most... Stayed with my young family before catching the ferry next morning. Second time staying here and eat in the bar both times - things have definitely improved. Good choice of food for both adults and kids. Very homely place, rooms very comfortable and sufficient space. Also with ample parking etc. Breakfast good and excellent value with the kids under 12... Dear guest? I am a little confused in regards to your review for the Valley Hotel. As shown with you previous review which you had posted incorrectly against the Valley, I an also concerned that you have also put this review on by error. You state that the dirty carpet? Should have been a green colour but was black like... More
