Popped in on the off chance Boxing Day to see if food was being served. Very welcoming staff, really enjoyed our meal. Would definitely recommend eating here. The bar area has had a revamp and looks lovely. We have eaten in the Restaurant part of the hotel before but decided to try the bar area this time and it was... More

Came for the cavery on a Wednesday, decent enough, good portion of meat, could do with a bit more green veg thats not swimming in cream/cheese sauce? But the rest of the food was brilliant. Staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face..

Stayed here for 2 nights over Bonfire Night. We have stayed here before several times and since our last visit last year the hotel is being refurbished. The rooms have not all been done but ours was good, the bathroom being very nice with the room also having been updated. The pub and eatery has also been completely done up,... More

Thank you for a great stay with our little dog, thank goodness hotels have started to make dogs welcome, we have had many years in the wilderness being dog lovers, Access all areas apart from the main restaurant, had a lovely meal with a very happy dog asleep at our feet. Thanks again.

I used to stay here every month on business but I now cover a different part of the country. I have to stay that this hotel has really gone down recently. I asked for a quiet room and got put in one of the noisiest rooms I've ever stayed in despite being informed that all the rooms were "quiet".The room... More

We stayed just one night before heading over to Ireland but it was lovely and would have liked stay longer. Room was lovely and we had a great meal that night in the Bar. Breakfast next morning was good

Staff are very friendly. The rooms are basic (beds very hard). Food is so so. At £30 per head ( excluding breakfast), you definitely get what you pay for. Ok for an overnight stay if you're catching the early ferry from Holyhead, but I wouldn't recommend an extended stay unless you're on a tight budget. Lastly the wifi was down!

Basic rooms, clean sheets, clean bathroom. The floors outside the rooms are squeaky so every-time someone walked by it disturbed me. Food in the restaurant was good, staff could make a bit more of an effort to meet and great and share key information. Not bad though.

Management has been very active to improve the quality of the hotel and have made some progress with a programme of upgrading of the en suite shower rooms. They are now looking clean and fresh, but there is need for greater precision with the quality of the finishing. Corridors and rooms have also been prettified with photographs of the stunning... Recently stayed at the Valley hotel for 2 nights. Check-in was good, by a helpful Receptionist. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and looked as though it had been recently refurbished. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits provided on the hospitality tray. Sachets of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, which was immaculate and also of a... More
