Funny place this. In an absolutely gorgeous spot, with a little more organisation it would be a quality hotel. Our room was lovely - till you looked out of the window and saw a fence which blocked the view two feet away. Bathroom was delightful - but no bath, just a shower. When you've been out on a blustery day... More

didnt stay here just came for the oyster fest. Ideal location, very central. Near to the beaches. Plenty going on around the hotel. The oyster fest was a great way to sample local produce and purchase gifts. Opportunity to try oysters too! Champagne was a bit expensive I felt, £8 a glass was the cheapest. A little pricy really. There... More

Room had peeling wallpaper, stained carpet and old TV that was difficult to operate. Lack of adequate toiletries. Cooked breakfast was buffet style and had been cooked a lot earlier and was swimming in grease. Continental style had stale croissants, tasteless cheese and ham, stewed coffee. Dinner on the premises the previous night was steak and ale pie which had... More

This is a review of the hotel restaurant not the hotel as a whole. We booked as non-residents for dinner. The dining area is very smart with great views of the bay. Service was good and attentive. What promised to be a great experience was let down by indifferent food. Described as 'slow cooked pork' on the menu was definitely... More

Welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Walls a bit too thin and floors tend to squeak a bit, adding some charm to the place. The views of the Bay from some of the front of the house rooms are very good. The hotel fails to match the food quality with it's rooms. Food is average and ordinary, but,... More

Was part of a wedding group at this hotel and the service was first class. Excellent food with very polite young staff. My only problem with this hotel is that its trying to be high-end but fails. The venve does not warrant such high pricing for what you get. This place is no better than a Premier Inn but had... More

Stayed 3 nights on a recent business trip with other colleagues who have stayed here previously and recommended this location. Rooms clean and well decorated with all the usual amenities including flat screen TVs with digital channels and good wifi coverage although this is via a landing page that has to be regularity re-validated and maybe a problem for use... Went to the Inn on the bay tonight for a meal and unfortunately the service levels let the experience down. We ordered two starters but only one arrived, When the waitress came back to remove the dirty plates or in our case plate we asked where the other starter was only to be told she did not realise we had... We stayed here for the night before travelling to Dublin. We were given a comfortable room with a sea view and balcony. The bathroom could do with a little updating but the shower was excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was good but the service was a little haphazard as they were very busy with only two... More
