This was my first visit to Anglesey on business. I was referred to the Victoria Hotel by Anglesy Arm hotel staff. Although the staff were friendly I also found the manageress to be somewhat abrupt and stern in her approach. The room was definitely overpriced, dirty, cheap toiletries etc...early hours in the morning I was awoken by the upstairs guests... More

I am sorry that you felt you had to write this review, but there are many untruths. The lady you spoke to was the receptionist not the manageress, who having spoken to her remembers your visit. Unfortunately there were children in the room above you and I am very sorry that they woke you at an early hour but that... More

This is a comfortable, independent, hotel with fine views over the Menai Straits and to the Menai Bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite a location on the main road through the small town of Menai Bridge, my room was quiet. It was also large, with separate windows overlooking the Straits and the Bridge, with small balconies to... More

We had spent the day searching for graves in Anglesey (quite macabre) we were hungry and thirsty, there were 6 of us that turned up here asking for food it was just on closing time for food but the lady kindly asked the kitchen if we could have sandwiches. They produced some lovely sandwiches for us and it was comfortable and... More

Visited for Sunday lunch with elderly relative. Had booked via telephone but when we arrived, the lady at the reception had no record of it. Then went on to say we were lucky as they did have a table for us! How were we the lucky ones if we'd already booked??! Not very accommodating at all. It seems to me... More

We had planned for two nights but things didn't go according to plan. The room was small but adequate, a little tired but had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy and absolutely fine. Our first night we enjoyed a meal in the bar as we had our golden retriever with us so the restaurant was not an option.... More

Our family had an evening meal here while staying in different hotels in Menai Bridge. The service was friendly, polite and prompt. My curry, with all the normal accompaniments was good, hot and tasty. The draught beer I had was a good and seemingly so were the different wines had by the other members of the family. The desert selected,... More

We stayed at Victoria with a group of 25 Dutch golf players. The staff is very, very friendly. Breakfast is sober but fine. The rooms are fine. Not very luxurious, but adequate. My room had a stunning view over the harbor and Menai Straits. Our last night we had a brilliant meal in the hotel as well.

We stayed on the Sunday night into Monday of the late August bank holiday. I have stayed at the hotel a few times over the years and always had a good experiences. Our latest visit was the best yet. Wonderful views over the Straights, a great nights sleep and a fab Welsh breakfast. All the staff we met were friendly... More
